Redbannas Portugal is delightful. Great weather fantastic beaches. Wonderfully friendly people and the food is good as well

We visit Cabanas which is on the Algarve. Fly into Faro which all the low cost airlines fly into daily, and it's a 40 min taxi transfer. It's a small fishing village and other then a few restaraunts and bars there's not a lot else, no late night party bars to disturb the peace . There's a good train service and bus service to take you further afield, you can even get the bus and ferry into Spain. The beach is across the lagoon and is reached by water taxi. We go self catering and last May got 12 nights, with flights and transfers for under £600 for the two of us in a four bed apartment I start planning by checking the airlines for their cheapest flights and then book the accomadation around that directly with the owners. For a lazy beach holiday it's a great spot
