Cheap, reliable unlimited broadband

I am currently with Virgin and feel that I am paying way over the odds for the M+ TV package plus phone and unlimited broadband. I have a Smart TV with Freeview and don't really need all those channels - I can always subscribe to Netflix if I want more. If, however, I am going to rely on Broadband for my TV service, it needs to be a good, fast reliable one. I have seen a lot of the cheaper ones advertised but don't really know enough about them to know if they are any good or not. Please could you help me?

I have used a number of suppliers over the years and have to say Sky have been fine for me.
Had two problems in the last three years both been fixed within 24 hours. (One was a Sky issue the other a BT Openreach one)
Haven't found a reason to move from them.0
