Cheap, reliable unlimited broadbanc

I am currently with Virgin and feel that I am paying way over the odds for the M+ TV package plus phone and unlimited broadband. I have a Smart TV with Freeview and don't really need all those channels - I can always subscribe to Netflix if I want more. If, however, I am going to rely on Broadband for my TV service, it needs to be a good, fast reliable one. I have seen a lot of the cheaper ones advertised but don't really know enough about them to know if they are any good or not. Please could you help me?

Since you'll be limited to ADSL or fibre services, which LLU providers and what line speeds are available to you?
Start with an exchange search on https://www.samknows.com
But with Freeview, why are you 'reliant on broadband for your TV service'?. You will only be using broadband for catch up or on-demand services.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

BT broadband Infinity 2 (76 mb/s for £41.99 inc line rental.) (deals are available but this is the base price)

    Virgin broadband only (100 mb/s for £33.50)

You could go for PlusNet or Sky.
