Tenth Anniversary First Post Combo Breaker
I took pac code form Tesco and moved to talktalk, but talktalk couldn't port my number during x-mas/new year time since they have technical problems, I cancelled the contract with them(on 9th Jan)
then moved to EE and gave pac code, on 11th jan , 12th jan EE said they have problems.
When I spoke to tesco they said they have transferred my old number to Vodafone(which is talktalk piggyback)on 12th morning and it is with them now.
When I argued with Talktalk, they say they can't see in their system as i Cancelled contract on 9th.
How do I get my number, as tesco and talktalk both says they don't have the number. EE found out that the number is with vodafone.
Can somebody advice me what action I should take and against whom.

Sorry but Give up now, save yourself months of stress and just get a new number.

As above.... give up now....it would seem your impatience with Talk talk has resulted in you losing your number.Once you ask to use a PAC you should always let that transfer complete before trying to port again.
Trying to cancel mid-port will always cause problems.
You can only port from an active number and as you cancelled the Talk talk contract your number is probably stuck in the Talk talk system with no chance of getting it back.
  • I agree with the posts above - just get a new number. My son has done that each time he has moved networks/contracts as the new number takes effect immediately with no further hassle.
It does mean telling your contacts the new number but you can also get rid of any contacts that you no longer wish to communicate with!

I agree with what's said, you should never have become impatient and cancelled the new account mid-port, there was always going to be one outcome, you losing the number.

You will end up stressed and angry for a few months with a 90% chance of not getting the number back if you do try. The fault lies with you for not allowing the port to complete before moving again, so the networks haven't done anything wrong.
