Cannot get Ts and Cs for new phone in writing

OH's contract with Orange is about to expire. They are phoning constantly urging him to take out a new one with them. Previous contract - he took salesman's word about what it would cover (eg tethering) and then, when push came to shove, and he wanted to use it one month later, it was not available after all. (To be fair to salesman, Orange changed goal posts after he had signed up but he had nothing in writing so could not ask for it to be included.) So this time he has asked salesman to confirm in writing the features Orange says are included in his deal. Despite asking five times and being promised it on each occasion, nothing materialises. Anyone else had better luck?

I belive you can cancel if it doesn't include what you asked for eg tethering, simpler option is get phone unlocked and get a sim only plan from elsewhere.

Contracts don't expire. Your OH can either cancel it by giving 1-month's notice or remain on the same contract indefinitely (until Orange cancel it).

These appear to be the current Orange T&Cs:

Sorry I should have said his contract term is coming to an end. The problem is that with his last contract there was a "mix and match" set of options and in among this the salesman told him he did not need to include tethering as he had enough bandwidth on his contract to support it which was all that was needed.

When he subsequently found he could not tether, there was a lot of to and fro-ing with Orange over whether his phone (Galaxy S3)was faulty until eventually they told him it was because he did not have sufficient bandwidth. Despite what the salesman had said when he sold it to him. The salesman then said he had sold it to him in good faith and Orange must have later changed the deal. But as OH had nothing in writing and salesman was not about to put this in writing, basically he was stuffed.

So this time he has asked them to send him a copy of the actual contract proposed including how much bandwidth, how many texts per month, how many minutes etc usual stuff and any non standard extras, as well as the underlying Ts and Cs. They seem totally unwilling or unable or maybe both, to provide this information in writing. When he went in the shop (not the same one as before) to ask for this, they said they had run out of the relevant literature.....

I guess EE ran out of 'bandwidth':D as well as they can't e-mail an electronic copy.
So they did of of the CS, decency, honesty, honor etc.
