Boiler in Bedroom or loft?

How accessible is your attic? Is it a loft or boarded out with a proper ladder?0

I have a old boiler in the bedroom:(
:rotfl:
We have a 3 bed house and our combi boiler is in the middle sized bedroom. We have lived here for 17 years and it has never been a problem for us.
When we moved in the boiler was not in a cupboard so we built one (following boiler manufacturers specifications) and fitted a lock (so kids could not fiddle with it) and installed a carbon monoxide detector.
My son sleeps in that room and has never complained about the noise or had trouble sleeping due to the noise. We don't have the heating on all night but it is on till about 10pm in winter and has not disturbed his sleep even when he was younger.
Can see how it might be a problem if you are a light sleeper.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

It would put me straight off if was wanting to buy a house. I have me condensing boiler in integral garage. Have you thought about the loft my MIL has her combi in loft with no problems0

Have you thought about the loft
Same question, would you put it in the loft?
The loft is floored and well insulated.
Does having the pump at that height not cause problems?0 -
Have had a boiler in the loft, makes perfect sense. But regs now demand better access, a safety rail round loft hatch etc. But nothing too expensive.0

Your GSR RGI will be less than delighted when it comes to servicing or repairing a boiler located in the loft, unless it's got 'walk in' access. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

My mate installed his WB combi in his loft, no problems whatsosever with the bonus that his wife can't get to it to fiddle with the controls.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0

Our combi boilder was installed in the loft 4 years ago. Our loft has a pull-down access ladder, is floored and has light. Firm who supplied and fitted boiler quite happy to install there and they also service it annually. We have a pressure gauge in the airing cupboard so we can keep an eye on the pressure without having to go up into the loft.
Our previous neighbours took a while selling their house. Quite a few viewers said they were unhappy with the combi boiler in the fitted wardrobe in one of the two double bedrooms.0 -
Ours is in the garage. If that's not an option I would prefer it in a utility room (if you have one) or the kitchen. Definitely not in a living room or bedroom. I suppose the loft would be ok, if slightly inconvenient.0
