Is it only Overdraft Charges

My 1st time here so this subject may have been covered. Am I right in saying that the new "freeze" on claims only relates to "OVERDRAFT CHARGES". If so is it still ok to go ahead and reclaim charges for returned Direct Debits etc..

No sorry. I have a claim with Natwest for £1500 and am 6 weeks into my 8 week wait. When I called to say that my claim was all for returned direct debits as I have a standard account, I was told d/d are classed as unauthorised o/d charges as if they had paid them they would have put the account in an overdraft situation. So it's a no win situation, I am afraid.0

Hello everyone
I've been meaning to sign upto this site for months. Think i'd planned to tell you another success story like the many other users that claimed and won.
I've done everything that was advised, as far as claiming is concerned. And on the 2nd of July, my bank (RBS) apparently "generated" my offer letter. Its almost a month and the letter is yet to drop in my letter box
I was told it was for £1300. I'd called to find out the progress of my claim around the 4/5th of July and thats what the girl told me. So I should have that cash by now! I was told by RBS customer relations today that the test case SHOULDN'T affect my claim if theres an offer. But wheres my letter?
p.s I double checked they had the right address.
Can anyone help me
Regards

They've already sent another 2 letters according to relations. I phone and say still no letter, so they say ok we'll send you another. They're either lying and waited for this case or they're system wont allow these offer letters until further notice.
I asked them to fax the offer to my local branch and the women said thats not something they do. And she said to me today they couldnt access the systems because of the big freeze court case! Unbelievable!!!0 -

Some ,rightly or wrongly that is not for argument, are claiming that cliams should still proceed to court and be heard. If there is a suspension of o/d claims pending outcome of the rest case, won't that result in the mixed claim being thrown out as invalid, as it includes items not claimable at the time of the hearing.0

As mentioned previously, I have been told that unauthorised overdraft charges and returned direct debit charges are one and the same thing and are both covered under the OFT test. My claim is purely returned d/d charges and have been told by the bank its "on hold". dammm0

Personally I am not involved with charge refunds either as a claimant or a banker, but still interested. From what is said in MSE threads I am getting mixed messages as to what is covered by the upcoming test case. What official source has told you?

Natwest staff member thanks very much for the suggestion!
I'll call them (again) and see if thats an option.0
