I might be wrong, but I would have thought your next steps should be
- unless already done, sort out R85 for your wife's Tesco current account
- apply online for 1 Club Lloyds current account (+internet access) for yourself
- apply online for 1 Club Lloyds current account (+internet access) for your wife
- get R85 sorted for your wife's Club Lloyds
- deposit min £4,000 max £5,000 into each
- unless already done, apply online for 2 Tesco savings accounts in each of your names
- in your respective Tesco online banking, set up 2 monthly paying DDs for each of your respective Club Lloyds accounts
- set up SOs to swap £1,500 a month on the same day each month between the two Club Lloyds
- register all the accounts, SOs and DDs in your favourite budgeting app or spreadsheet etc
Later, when above done and you have Internet access to your respective Lloyds accounts, you can set up a joint Club Lloyds and Club Lloyds Monthly Savers. And the BOS accounts etc etc.
dont understand no 9 ! , we are not in that technical bracket yet im afraid, but not to worry about that yet!.0 -
What I mean is write down what accounts you have where, and how the money moves between them. You can just use pen and paper if you don't use that new-fangled electronic stuff.
I usually have a memory like an elephant but if I did not have written records of where which of my money is, I would have forgotten half of the accounts by next week. I would be surprised if any of the other multi-accounters here relied on their memory.0 -

You lads are doing a great job with me trying to get rid of this money of ours! more hers!.
Im forgetting about the TESCO SAVERS for now untill i have decided where to dump it , then when thats done i will apply for the TESCO account & link it to the new account to meet the t&c of the new 4% accounts.
Please tell me that i am thinking a bit better!!!!.
All i have done today is get the tesco current up & running & im goosed.:o0 -

You must have 2 monthly paying DDs for the Club Lloyds accounts. The easiest to set these up is from Tesco savings accounts. So you might as well set these Tesco savings accounts up now. It takes a couple of minutes per account only, and they don't cost you anything if you don't use them (but they need an opening deposit of at least £1).Im forgetting about the TESCO SAVERS for now untill i have decided where to dump it , then when thats done i will apply for the TESCO account & link it to the new account to meet the t&c of the new 4% accounts.i was telling the wife that you want paying & her reply was

I have no problem giving my sort code and account number to anyone with a genuine need to know - i.e. those who need to pay me money. I wouldn't post it on a public website because literally nobody reading the website has a need to know.
Sort codes and account numbers are a bit like phone numbers - nobody can make a call from your phone by knowing your number. Nobody knowing your sort code and account number can help themselves to your money. Remember, hundreds of billions of cheques have been written by people, and each one of those cheques contains the sort code and account number along with the name of the account holder.
No you wouldn't, see above. If someone breaks in to our palace ! & takes my little note pad!, then i can tell you we will be broke
You should be much more concerned with what a thief could do with your passports and debit cards, your Rolexes and your wife's crown jewels etc that they could find if you didn't have them locked away. So wherever you lock these, you should lock your list of accounts.0 -

yes colsten i know i need the 2 dd , but when i tried to register for the Tesco internet account today, in order for you to go through the application procedure , it asks you for the linked account for the dd to operate from , if you have not set up the new aacounts then you have no account to link to!, because if i link it up to my existing 123 accounts , thats not the one that i need dd for, so i clicked on next to bypass the linked account form & left it empty but it will not let you continue with the application so you need to put in a linked account , am i off course or what?.
whats the point of linking my nat west account of 40 years.

thanks colsten , yes i have a diary that i try to fill in every month to keep a eye on things & gives me a total , today i had £25 win on the p bonds so i have added that as well.
my little pad gets hidden if i go anywhere out of the ordinary , like holiday .
But i have to admit that once i give all my details away once & i was very lucky that my wife pulled me up & b0llocked me & i was quick to cancel all i needed to , we always now talk to each other before i do anything , she keeps her eyes on me , good job eh!, she says i carnt be trusted with money !, so she does not give me any:eek:.

ANY of your current accounts will do as a 'linked account'. You can add as many other current accounts as you like later, and then pull money from any of them by DD.0
