Average speed approx 70mph even with the stops.. And that was in a van...

Hull to Cornwall - did it quite a number of times. About 400 miles, about 6 hours.
I didn't stop en-route as it's just me and it was always dark outside. I also think "if I stop for half an hour then I'll get there half an hour later" - and I like to get to where I'm going, then stop/relax and know there's no more driving.0 -
From leaving home to coming back home again? About 40,000 miles and 22 countries over 17 months.
In one day? About 700 miles, several times.0 -
1500-odd miles , from home-to-home, starting on a Good Friday night, competing in a Lands End Trial, then driving home again on an Easter Sunday, [from around Lands End] in a 1983 Skoda Estelle.
Nothing broke, despite my best efforts. No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0
