Midlands to South Wales to Cornwall and back in 11 hours..

Average speed approx 70mph even with the stops.. And that was in a van...

So a large part of the journey at illegal speed then.

    But maybe a realistic one.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

Hull to Cornwall - did it quite a number of times. About 400 miles, about 6 hours.

I didn't stop en-route as it's just me and it was always dark outside. I also think "if I stop for half an hour then I'll get there half an hour later" - and I like to get to where I'm going, then stop/relax and know there's no more driving.

From leaving home to coming back home again? About 40,000 miles and 22 countries over 17 months.
In one day? About 700 miles, several times.

1500-odd miles , from home-to-home, starting on a Good Friday night, competing in a Lands End Trial, then driving home again on an Easter Sunday, [from around Lands End] in a 1983 Skoda Estelle.

Nothing broke, despite my best efforts.
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......

For once I agree with UKIP: get people to speak English.
Perhaps they should start with their own candidates?
