BT Super Fast Fibre - Address Not Recognised
married
Hi,
I am moving house so called BT to get service transferred. 1st Agent said address was on SFF and transferred me to 2nd Agent who informed me that address wasn't on database. Told to register address with Royal Mail - did.
Called BT a few days later and got same runaround - this time I stated that Royal Mail had new address registered (I had arranged postal redirect with them).
Called BT again a few days later, same runaround. I said that I would cancel contract as BT couldn't provide service and informed by them that early cancellation fee would have to be paid - even though BT couldn't service the house!
Escalated issue to BT CEO and got immediate response from Executive Level Complaints Office (Doncaster Call Centre not HQ). Issue still ongoing but Resolutions Agent assures me that early cancellation shouldn't apply as BT cannot give any date when fibre will be connected to house.
Now have a tentative date for installation to "arrange" visit to site - not to install fibre but to visit site. What a shambolic state of affairs from BT.
Not going to use BT as I have already committed to another service provider who has already installed fibre to the site. Let's see BT scream for their early cancellation fee!
Anyone with similar issues?
