And in super news, it's payday today! :j Can you hear the hallelujah chorus?! I'm treating myself to a hair cut (dry cut, I'm not made of money!) at some point this week, my mane hasn't been trimmed in about 9 months and boy, you can tell!

I have to wait till Friday for payday and I have about £15 to my name. Thankfully I don't see any expenses before then but I desperately need a hair cut too. The last time was just before I started my current job 11 months ago! Have yet to find a hair dresser I actually like in town so will book an appointment in the only salon I haven't tried, hopefully they're nice!

  • I'm a total dry cut convert Birdie, cuts down massively on the small talk as well as being cheaper - I'm so antisocial!

Oh Kavics I'm sorry you're going through a rough time, 3 years is so little time, it really is x

I'm like you Archers! Sadly the salon I'm going to tomorrow doesn't do dry cuts (rubbish!), so I've booked in for a wet cut, but told her I have to get back to work so hopefully she'll give it a half decent blow dry before sending me on my way!

Just got to share this- this is how MIL sent Zach home tonight! :D

    Hi all,

Sorry I haven't been here much.

Dinah - i have every faith you can get that debt paid off! Congratulations to NIM on the new job.

Lara - Congratulations on the america job, how exciting!

Birdie - how cute is Zach! Can't believe he is nearly one.

We have just found out we are having another girl so very mse :money: as I kept almost everything. Just a couple of bits to get. Baby is looking healthy as well which is the important thing.
  • Aw congrats on another little girl Wendz. My sister has 2 little girls and is thrilled because she always wanted her first girl to have a sister. I must be ace in the sister department as I'm her one and only sister. Lol :)

Congratulations on your job promotion too NIM. Are you enjoying working in the care area?

Only good career decision I ever made CMD. Its VERY rare I don't look forward to going to work.

Thanks for all the congrats you guys. I've needed something like this to happen for a while, been a bit of a moody get at home lately feeling stranded workwise. This has been a HUGE boost for me and my confidence, even D has commented on how much of a spring there is in my step now.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Congratulations on baby girl #2 Wendz. You're right healthy is the most important thing. Do you have any names in mind (don't worry won't make you share!). We had our boy name all picked for Grace but really struggled on a girl name, whereas for Ben we had our girl name all picked but literally decided while I was on the operating table after the doctor said 'he'll be out in the next minute' and I just turned to NIM and said 'he's Benjamin' and thankfully he agreed - I'd just woken up with that name in my head that morning and that was that. For ages I'd been set on the name Arran, but I was concerned about the pronunciation or people thinking he was Aaron. I'd have loved a sister growing up, I wanted a second girl for that reason but once you have whatever you have you can't imagine things being any better another way.

NIM currently at soft play with Grace as she doesn't like to do nothing and she wanted messy play, but there wasn't a session today so this was the next best thing. So I've used the hour and a bit to call maternity allowance as I thought a payment was missing (apparently I got 2 in the space of a week in October and just didn't notice!), and to rearrange a hospital appointment for Grace (I refuse to drive to Newcastle 3 days in a row for different appointments with 2 children on my own, it's too far, too stressful and too expensive!), and to try to get a few more bits on ebay. I'm focussing on things I hope will sell - done a few of Grace's swimsuits, sun safe suits and gro bags so far.

How lovely Wendz! Your poor DH will be outnumbered! :D Glad the baby is looking well.
