Hi all,
i bought a cooker from argos at end of aug 14 and was delivered sept 14. It had issues from early on with the flame safety device for the main oven, this resulted in the device being replaced in nov 14. At end of dec 14 it failed again, at which point argos said they would replace, hotpoint said no, cue 2 weeks of hell, phone calls, arguments and being informed hotpoint would have to come out again as they only replace after 2 visits. engineer has been this morning, its flame safety device has failed again and he dosent have a replacement on his van, he has to order one and it will take 2-3 weeks, if they can get one plus organising the engineer out again so more like 5 plus weeks.
i have phoned argos this morning and they have said nothing they can do as i ordered it and paid them but it comes from hotpoint and have sent them another email requesting that its unreasonable amount of time to wait as i have already waited 2 weeks and its on its second failing.Hotpoint are refusing to replace the cooker, i have to wait to see if they can get the part.
i have submitted a complaint to each company with no response. i have contacted them on twitter and argos have responded with the standard hotpoint have said i have to wait for a repair.
Does anyone have any other ideas i can try as i just think this is ridiculous! thanks all

Doesn't matter what Argos say, they are the retailer, how they wish to arrange the deliveries is up to them. Under Consumer law its their problem not hotpoint.0
