Don't have a Neff, but I changed my Hotpoint one with the oven in situ, as long as the wires don't fall through the back when you disconnect from the element....

Very few elements are held in place with captivated nuts or self tappers so you usually need the back off to remove/replace the nuts.

What I do to stop that happening is to clip a clothes peg to each wire as I disconnect them.

Hi, I changed my element on my oven a couple of years ago. I got my element from a site called 'the element man' quick delivery too. Hadn't a clue about ovens, my OH just said get a man in but I wouldn't. Googled how to replace oven element, there's loads of advice. Wasnt a neff though. I assume they're all pretty similar. On the website I bought off you can search for your make and model.
    Was very pleased with myself!
Good luck! Sure if it doesn't work, then get the Neff guy in!
  • Thanks everyone, I'm waiting for the part to arrive then I will fit it myself (may need help from my husband lifting the oven though)... Finger cross my oven will be alive again!

Good idea! I taped them together - left power off obviously!

Seems I was lucky! Just self tappers on mine (covered in grease and other horrible stuff though!)

Mine were rusty, but looking closely you could put a small spanner on them as they were "nut" shaped.
