Neff oven - fan on but no heating

Hi all,
My Neff oven fan is still working but no heating. Grill is heating fine.
After doing a search on Internet, I think the element is faulty and I could fix it just by replacing it with a new element.
The process of replacing the element seems easy enough that I think I could do it myself (this is a Youtube video shows you how to do it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZy8HBwSzos )
I've got a quote from professional to fix it for £159 while if I do it my self it's only £10 to buy a new element (although I know fixing oven is dangerous, still tempted to save the cost).
Now I wonder if anyone has done this by yourself before. Is there anything I need to know to ensure the safety while carrying out the replacement? When it's completed, how can I do a safety test before using the oven again?
Any advice would be really appreciated.

That is a ridiculous quote to do the job - it takes about 20mins and all you need is a screwdriver. I would expect to pay £50-60 to have it done by a repairer.
Do it yourself - a very simple job. Just remember to turn the power to the cooker off first, and to note where each wire connects.0 -

Thanks,
Do I need to do a test or something when the replacement is completed before using the oven again?0 -
No - nothing you can do other than switch it on and check the oven gets hot.0

I literally just did this today on my Whirlpool oven, watched a youtube video on how to do it first but it was really basic - took about 30 mins (20 extra mins because the oven had to come out and it was heavy!)0

Having changed a few of the fan elements my advice would be, if possible, to buy from the original manufacturer. I have found that buying the cheap elements is not cost effective as they last nowhere near as long as the original. The longest part of the job if integrated is lifting the oven out and removing/refitting the back cover/insulation, also you sometimes need Torx drivers instead of a Phillips screwdriver.0

Thanks,
Where did you get the element from?0 -

Thanks, I'm looking at Neff website but really can't find where to buy (not as easy as Ebay)
I also have a question: It's a built-in Oven. I will switch off the main first. Do I still need to move the oven out? (I don't know if it has a fuse & socket at the back of the oven. I never move it before)0 -
I got mine from eBay, it was also available from http://www.espares.co.uk who i've used before.
Thought i'd try the cheap one as it was £10 rather than £300 -
There's usually four screws holding your cooker in place, unscrews these and pull your cooker out, if it's a split level you could always rest it on a stool or in my case a workmate. The cable should be long enough for you to do this. You can then remove the rear metal cover. The cable from the wall mounted junction box should be sufficient for you to pull the oven out without disconnecting.0

Don't have a Neff, but I changed my Hotpoint one with the oven in situ, as long as the wires don't fall through the back when you disconnect from the element....0
