Just name and address, age etc on the noodle. Not really interested in paying out for credit reports. If O2 don't want to give me a credit for 20 quid a month on a new contract I will stick with what I have.

Does it show you as being on the electoral roll?

Does it show your existing phone contract or credit card account or any utility accounts etc?

Yes it shows me registered on electoral roll.
Also shows Current Credit Card amount outstanding and says up to date.

Shows two O2 accounts up to date.
Shows my Bank account as up to date?

Getting a £20 a month mobile contract is pretty easy and, from what you've said, there doesn't appear to be a reason to turn you down.

Maybe your data was entered incorrectly and you couldn't be found or the link to the CRA was temporarily down.

You suggest your credit card details are not being reported to Noodle. Most are, so it might be worth checking the other CRAs to see if they are reported there.

you already have x2 02 accounts, they may of only credit risked you for a max of 2
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • Got a call from VM yesterday to say they had done a manual check of my credit record and I have been approved for up to 4 sims. Went to the shop today and filled out the electronic form for the first sim I wanted and it went through OK. Did the second application and what do you know it kicked out the application at the credit check stage. Shop manager was very apologetic and said they would rush through another manual review of that application and I might get a result tomorrow. He was so helpful I felt quite bad when I told him where to stick both sim cards.

We need legislation to force service providers to disclose why an application has been kicked out by an automated check. I don't buy this rubbish that it would help fraudsters find a way round the checks. How do I know that I have not been refused because of my ethnicity, age or sexual orientation if no reason is given for the refusal.

I have several different contracts for family members and juggle them to get good deals. I remember being told by CarPhoneWarehouse that I could only have two O2 contracts as a matter of policy. To get a third required the first two contracts to be maintained satisfactorily for 6 months.

Finally cracked it. I don't like to be beaten.
I called O2 3 times in an effort to discuss the issue - to no avail. I called mobiles.co.uk again and the guy agreed to start a new lead. They again refused but he managed to engage in conversation with O2 who said that they would require ID. They asked for a copy of my signature, drivers license and recent bank statement. I sent these items, 20 minutes later I had a call to say that this info is insufficient and they want 2 bank card long numbers to prove my address. Had I not been chasing such a great deal which competitors can't match, I would have told them to stuff it. I agreed to this and I now have a new phone on the way. Took me 1 and half hours plus other calls to O2.

3 months ago someone used my old address and got 2 iPhones from 3.co.uk. They didn't charge anything to me and I cancelled the contracts as soon as I received notification and was assured that this info would not go onto my credit history and no mention appears. It appeared they managed it just by using my name and address and probably paying the initial fee in cash. They then gave a non existent bank account for future charges.
I guess the problem may have been due to my house move, although the info I gave matches that on my CRA's. I will never know!

I have 10 years + history with O2 with no problems.
