Hi, elderly technophobe here again!

Hi, elderly technophobe here again. Stupidly, I didn’t date my last query on this site, and I don’t know if I can search the site by topic or how. So may I say thank you to anyone who posted a reply to this already, and thank you for your patience if you can bear to repost. New posts also very welcome. I did try some of the suggestions re the problem as below, but they did not work. I should mention I am working on an Apple Macbook Pro, as I think the reply I got applied to a pc. So my query is:-I can’t view clips on Youtube or other sites due to “blocked pop ups”. I’ve tried downloading an Adobe Flashplayer update, but it has made no difference. Can anyone tell me how to get back this function? Also, my Applecare advice line plan expired recently, and I need to buy a new support package. When I had a pc, I used what was then called Tech Friend from PC World, I think it’s now
KNOWHOW 24/7 Help & Advice - 1 year service. It was ok back then, can anybody who uses it currently tell me how it’s going, or can anybody recommend a better 24/7 support service for a real computing beginner? And, thank you so much to this community for previous help.

don't buy support packages you do not need, all the info you possible need is free on the internet just google your question.
Your web browser is blocking the pop ups, you need to tell us what you are using, Chrome? Safari? Firefox?

Has your computer had all of the latest updates?

Just go to the apple symbol (top left corner) and select software updates.

How far do you live from your nearest Apple Store ?
You could book a free appointment, and let me tell you!
They love to help 'seniors' such as you
Please don't spend money on a support package you just don't need

Alternatively call AppleCare and lay it on really thick about how much you love your Apple Product and just how sweet and elderly you are.
    I'm sure they'll help

I also use a Macbook Pro. If you're using Safari browser, go to the bar at top of screen, click Safari, then Preferences, then Security. Take out the tick in 'block pop up windows'.

For general problems, I've always found this forum excellent, the experts are second to none. Also Apple Support are helpful.

    OP - I'd second libra10's suggestion.

Please don't pay for a tech support helpline. You can get all of the help you need online. Either on this forum, via Googling or Youtube videos (once you get Youtube working!). The other way is to see if a family or friend can help you when you get stuck. I always find tech people generous with their time. They usually like solving problems!
