Apple mac user, how do i get rid of blocked pop-ups?

Hi, elderly technophobe Apple Mac user here. I can’t view clips on Youtube or other sites due to “blocked pop ups”. I’ve tried downloading an Adobe Flashplayer update, but it has made no difference. Can anyone tell me how to get back this function? And, thank you so much to this community for previous help. This site has been a life saver. Barbiedor.

Your helpful web browser is blocking annoying pop ups for you. This time, it has blocked a useful one!
If you need more advice, tell us what browser you're using (Safari, Chrome, Firefox), but generally, it'll say at top right that it has blocked a pop-up - go up there with your mouse to the wee icon and click or right click it, and you should get an option along the lines of 'always allow pop-ups from youtube.com' or similar - this will prevent this from happening in the future.0
