Bought my car, and in their house were 2 terriers. My jaw nearly hit the floor. :T0 -
As its a honda I'd check that 5th and 6th gears haven't rusted from lack of use, that the stereo will tune in to something other than radio 4, the glove box isn't full of werthers originals wrappers and the seats don't smell of p!ss.0

Look at a Subaru Forester too. I bought a 2002(52) 2.0 Sport last October 98000m for £1400. Having seen a few ads since I possibly could have bought cheaper too.
So far (touch wood) I have used it hard and had no issues.
