Car Insurance/Garage - Negligent?

Speculation here, BUT having been around a bodyshop for few years as my wifes uncle owns a insurer approved bodyshop, The insurers will now launch an investigation into possible fraud and quality standards breaches, they will also more than likely investigate their own insurance assessor in his role with the garage's he is assigned to in his area.
The possibilities and speculation here, in my knowledge is, the 1st garage had been paid for items NOT fitted to the vehicle, that was listed on the repair sheet, the labor time was inflated, and that paint supplies also over listed and inflated, and now the audi report has backed up these items as missing or not fitted.
After 4 weeks with breaks for holidays, the insurers will also be looking at the quality of repair, why was the paint miss matched? and things left so loose, missing and why was it sent out and signed off with airbag not connected.
The 1st garage could possibly loose the contract with this insurer (who if like admiral have sister companies will mean they cancel all contracts with those sister companies too), they will lose the money on this repair due to having it being repaired at another garage, they may also be pursued for fraud by the insurance company.
Things were tightened up when that large crash for cash and repair bill scam got discovered here in wales, they take things like this with more urgency and investigate things deeper when things come to light that don't seem right.
The wifes uncle has had several reviews of paper work and also has had his contract altered to correspond with the insurers updated practices.
honestly form now on stop worrying what 1st garage is going to do or say, as form the sounds of its their own fault as they didn't think youd complain or if you did they would get it back to charge the insurers once again for work that was supposed to have been but didn't and yes they effectively dobbed themselves in it as they wasn't expecting an escort back to audi they were going to take it back to the garage to do some work on it and then pass it to audi who would have discovered almost nothing wrong and made you look to be a picky difficult customer. relax now its getting done and sorted properly.
Thank u. I'm not trying to make anyone lose business but I keep thinking we are lucky to know lots of people in the motor trade. I had my son in that car for weeks and when it goes for inspection it's deemed not safe to drive by two separate garages. What if it was someone who took them at their word and expected that they had done their job correctly, after all I did get a guarantee stating the car had been through quality checks at each stage of the repair and had passed the final quality assurance check. Laughable when u see both independent reports.0 -

Anything over exaggerated could not only scupper any chances of further action, but also make you look quite foolish.
And IDGAF what anyone says, hardly anyone works their way into management these days, some ignorance, some arrogance, a big mouth and no sense is unfortunately all you need...... Especially within a sales focused business, like a car dealership.
Who's over exaggerating? Bad service is my issue and being without my car for an excessive amount of time.
Your second statement makes no sense, do you want to elaborate on that?!?!0 -

Surely once your car has been repaired to an acceptable standard by Audi, you're back to where you are pre accident and that is the best you're going to get.
I phoned FOS for advice on a few questions I had once the car had came back from the independent garage last Friday, this was before the insurers agreed to send it to Audi for a check and way before they authorised them to carry out any repairs.
If you go over and over paintwork on a car it looks s**t, sorry not accepting the fact that's the best I'm going to get and just accept it without complaining about the service.0 -
o/s/f fog lamp grill backing cover missing £157.31
n/s headlamp sidelight incorrect bulb fitted backing cover missing £58.18
Air con pipes bent requires new pipes then air con rechecked £786.43
Radiator/intercooler insecure fans have damaged wiring and air intake pipes £373.28
Poor wiring repair at n/s/f airbag crash sensor, o/s/f also fitted incorrectly £167.04
Poly v belt damaged from air con pipes £83.81

Various bumper screws and o/s arch liner screw missing £95.75
This is what was identified in the initial Audi inspection - these items above correspond with the items repaired/replaced on the audatex report completed by the first garage, who expects a garage to charge £3000 for repairs and hand it back to the customer with the above remedial work needed - at a cost of around £1800!0
