my mistake!
Isn't the Op posting to remind us to watch out for the latest supermarket dirty tricks. So she is trying to save us money.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

The quote that you have quoted in post 13 is from the OP?
Posts 1 and 2 are the same user.

because on the rare occasions when there are meant offers on that are good value i would by from the big four.
it must really be a sad existence if you have to resort to trolling people on a forum like this!
Geordie isnt trolling. He is simply pointing out that they have reduced the price from £4.50 to £3.60.
The "3 for £10" was a temporary offer. The fact they have withdrawn the offer can hardly be described as a "dirty trick". Supermarkets run/change/withdraw multibuy offers all the time. You are damning the supermarket for withdrawing the multibuy offer. Other people damn the supermarket for haveing the multibuy offer in the first place.0 -

I'm my local Asda every time (like right now) they have Jim Beam on offer the shelf is empty. As soon as the offer goes it's back on the shelf.
Seen this trick in Tesco in the past.
Wanted a soap powder that was on offer, none on shelf. Last day of offer.
Had to go in the next day for something I had forgotten, the soap powder shelf was creaking under all the boxes of powder that was on it.:( All at the full price! The more I live, the more I learn.
The more I learn, the more I grow.
The more I grow, the more I see.
The more I see, the more I know.
The more I know, the more I see,
How little I know.!!0 -

Dont know about what happens currently , but some supermarkets ( including Tesco ) used to offer "raincheck" vouchers for products that where currently on offer but out of stock. Allowed you to buy them at a later date , but at the offer price.0 -

Tesco do still offer the raincheck voucher although not really promoted, I've used it a couple of times in my local superstore, you take the yellow ticket from the shelf to customer service and they give you a printed till voucher to get the item at the offer price, can't remember how long its valid for off the top of my head but like other posters have commented, as soon as its back to full price they restock the shelf0
