It might be worth it for your OH to look at factoring his invoices in future to help with cashflow, Jojo?
I don't know a lot about it, only what's been told to me, but I think you sell your invoice to a factor, who pays you for your goods or services less a percentage (their profit).
Your customer doesn't know anything about it, they still pay you as usual and you pay the factor when you get the money, but you get money up front.
I imagine you'd factor in the commission to the costs invoiced (pun intended;))
I'm sure someone on here will know what I'm talking about, and be able to explain it much better, but it might be a way to prevent this sort of thing from happening again.I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

Her OH has just posted on Facebook that they're going on holiday to the States for ten days in April.
Screenshot that Facebook status, print it and send it with a strongly worded request to be paid now that money is less tight for her.
If all else fails, I'll go round for you. Hell hast no fury like a seemingly angry Scouse woman who survives living in anglophobic parts of North Wales!"We always find something, hey Didi, to give us the impression we exist?" Samuel Beckett, Waiting for Godot.
