Very misleading thread title, I imagine the cashback would have been honoured had you adhered to the terms and conditions stipulated.

You didn't need to have the physical oven to claim the cashback, just the receipt.

Quite often these kind of promotions require the serial number of the appliance. If this one was the same, the OP couldn't do anything until the oven arrived.

They are completely depending on any generosity from Miele now though as they missed the deadline.

I posted the instructions, they were quite simple.
    1. Please visit miele.co.uk/promotions

    2. Enter your details on our secure webpage and you will be given a unique reference code

    3. Write this unique reference code on a copy of your proof of purchase and send to:
    £100 cashback, Miele Marketing,
Miele Company Ltd, Fairacres, Marcham Road,
    Abingdon, OXON, OX14 1TW

Terms and conditions apply – see ‘Conditions’ tab above.

Get a reference from Miele website, post copy of proof of purchase to Miele, get £100.

Do you know what the 'details' they required were? If it's anything like their other cashback deals, the serial number is required.

This cashback promotion also asks for 'details' in the same way the OPs one did.. When you go to the register tab as instructed, one of the details they require is the product serial number.

Even if they did ask for the serial number I'd say the timeframe between the 11th Dec and the 31st Dec was more than long enough to take 2 minutes to fill out the details required regardless of any issues.

It's not Miele's problem that you had family issues or didn't read the small print. They've done nothing wrong.

Beenie you messed up by not claiming in time. Your only hope is a goodwill gesture from Miele. If you get it don't mistake that for you being right all along.

    Thank you for yor input.

The only poster who has really grasped the point is mije (the point being that you need the appliance serial number in order to claim the refund.)

The oven came late from the Miele warehouse. Then in the remaining 20 days I had a bereavement, then it was Xmas and New Year.

My claim was 6 days outside the time frame allowed.

Miele have taken all of the above into account and have confirmed that they will be honouring their offer.

My refund will be issued within 60 days. :)

That's why they give you 31 days to validate the claim after the final date of purchase. As you mention yourself, you still had 20 days to validate the claim after receiving the oven.

Seems like Miele have gone above and beyond what they legally had to do, so fair play to them.
