Miele £100 cash back 'late claim' being honoured

I bought a Miele oven from John Lewis before Xmas.
There was one of those offers the manufacturer runs periodically - £100 cash back if you bought within the stipulated time limit, which I did.
However, due to family problems I have only just got round to claiming, and the offer has disappeared from the Miele website. I contacted them about this and was told to send my proof to the Marketing dept. rather than the Promotions dept.
I've done this but have heard nothing. Should I contact John Lewis, trading standards, Radio 4 () or have another go at Miele?

If so, then normally I would expect you to be unlucky with your late attempt at a claim.
However, did the person that told you to contact the marketing dept actually say your late claim would be accepted?
Until they refuse your claim, I would follow up with the marketing dept.
No point in going to all those other places you mention until Miele they have refused your claim, is there?
Even if they do refuse your claim, you still have no comeback if no-one has told you they will accept a late claim.0 -
So what were the terms of the cashback? Sounds like pilot error.0

Was it this offer?

If so, you ran out of time. The promotional offer of £100 cash back applies to the Miele Oven models H2361B or H2361BP. The promotion will run from the 1st of September – 30th November 2014.
2. To validate your claim, a copy of your proof of purchase must be received by the by the 31st of December 2014; we will not validate any claims where a proof of purchase is received after this date.0 -

After reading post #4 I would say none of the above, you need to give yourself a stern talking to for wasting the chance to get £100 by not following the terms...====0 -

I bought my oven within the time limit. However, a family member died and I was busy with funerals etc. so didn't get my claim in (and I hadn't read the small print anyway so was unaware that there was a time limit). But thanks anyway......0

Oh, and i forgot to mention that the oven was not delivered until 11 Dec --- and their offer ran out on 31 Dec, so part of the delay was down to their warehouse running out of stock.
Will pursue further and let you know what happens.0 -

The delivery date isnt important. Its the date you purchased the oven. What date did you purchase it on?
By all means ask, but certainly dont go in threatening to report them to watchdog, trading standards etc. You didnt follow the terms and conditions of the offer, so if they do offer you anything, it will only be as a gesture of goodwill.
PS - You purchased from John Lewis, not Miele direct - so its John Lewis who made the late delivery, that's nothing to do with Miele.0 -

You didn't need to have the physical oven to claim the cashback, just the receipt.
It really didn't look like a hard process.1. Please visit miele.co.uk/promotions
2. Enter your details on our secure webpage and you will be given a unique reference code
3. Write this unique reference code on a copy of your proof of purchase and send to:
£100 cashback, Miele Marketing,
Miele Company Ltd, Fairacres, Marcham Road,
Abingdon, OXON, OX14 1TW
Terms and conditions apply – see ‘Conditions’ tab above.
What do you want to pursue? A claim against yourself for failing to comply with the conditions of the process?====0
