No it didn't!! We eventually had notification from the school that they'd cancelled the trip about 3 weeks ago and a letter asking who they make the refund cheque payable to, but so far no refund. Apparently they cancelled the trip either on the day of the Paris shootings or the day after because the travel agent said if they didn't do it then it would be impossible for them to get a refund.
As predicted though it all seems a bit pointless now, they might as well have gone. I happened to mention to someone this week that DD was supposed to be going on a school trip to Paris this week but it had been cancelled and they were puzzled as to why until I said it was because of the shootings. How quickly we forget!
Financially though I suppose it's a good thing - DS has got two residential trips coming up in March and April with cubs and school
and DD's going to Wimbledon in July, so I could do with the money back for this one - well the amount I paid, MiL paid the balance.
JxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0
