Boundary Dispute - Neighbour wont let me put a fence on MY land

Hi,
You have mentioned that you would like some improvements such as grass, pebbles etc. Could you afford to do some landscaping yourself? Hopefully you could then persuade the other parties to agree as it would benefit everybody.
Also put in a few shrubs, some of which could grow to form a hedge (instead of a fence) to give you some privacy at the rear of your house and also prevent bins, rubbish etc being placed in front of your windows.
I imagine the maintenance would be all down to you, but it shouldn't be too bad if most of the area is kept simple, and just have some pretty pots/small flower beds by your windows. You never know some of the neighbours might even do the same and start to take more of a pride in it.0 -
A "fence" by stealth then? Howzat for a bit of lateral thinking.
Could be one possible way to tackle the situation.
There is a possible snag there, in that those neighbours could only put potted plants in the yard with OP's agreement (as its her yard), but that might not stop some of them putting them out without her agreement and in a very different style to her own and being ones she doesn't like personally.
Its a difficult situation for OP whatever way you look at it and I'm guessing, right now, the only thought keeping her going is "That darn landlord ISNT going to ever buy my house off me at a bargain rate...courtesy of me getting fed-up of all the hassle he is putting me through. Dead...body...over and I'll find a way to make sure I do what I am perfectly entitled to do yet and not let him reduce my house value".
Well that's what I would do personally:rotfl: and stick up that fence regardless. We wait to see how OP deals with it...and wish her luck.0 -
