    I had this dilemma at the weekend...


    My tyres are meant to be H rated - Up to 130 mph


    But the exact same tyres but Y rated - Up to 190 mph were £25 a pair cheaper.


    Obviously this is what I went for, but these cheaper options only showed up when I searched by tyre size and not REG number.

    that said it is ok to fit a tyre with a higher rating than a T but never ever go lower

    different rear and front tyres wouldn't be issue. On some BMWs it comes from manufacturer with different sizes & speed rating for back & front tyres.
