I fitted a restrictor to ours, but the OH said that it took twice as long to rinse shampoo/conditioner out of her hair which blew out any savings.
I did fit them to all the taps though, which has the added bonus of stopping water from splashing straight out of the bowl and onto my trousers.0 -
As my wife is incapable of turning taps to their intermediate positions ie they are either full off or full on, fitting flow restrictors is a definite benefit and as said above keeps it all in the bowl or sink.
She's not too bad timewise in the shower even though ours is flow restricted to 6lpm but I'm still struggling to get her to stop rinsing tins, jars, plastic pots and other stuff with hot water at full bore before they go into the recycling bin.
She only started turning lights off after I'd fitted low energy LED bulbs:rotfl:Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
Lol, sounds like my house. I don't believe my OH knows we have a cold water supply, if she does I have never seen her use it. No matter how much I moan, I don't think she will change.
I saw her rinsing a teaspoon from a cup of tea the other day with the hot tap, just a couple of microseconds but enough to fire up the boiler for absolutely no reason. Not a chance any hot water came out as the boiler is upstairs!
I told her that this month was going to be really tight as we (she) had overspent at Christmas, and we had to be very careful with money until the end of the month and only buy essentials. Last night she came home with a little bottle of something you paint on your nails to make the more resilient to breaking. I was think bread and water, but this is her idea of essentials! :rotfl: I have to laugh, to stop myself from crying! :rotfl:0 -

Some people just have no manners. Not even a Thank You to anyone.carefullycautious wrote: »Wonder why the Op did not come back?
We'll all try to help the OP again, won't we?

Wonder why the Op did not come back?
Because the OP does not spend all the hours in her day sitting in front of her computer.0 -
But when she does get back, she still doesn't show any good manners. Still not a single Thank You to anyone for taking the trouble.jannowretired wrote: »Because the OP does not spend all the hours in her day sitting in front of her computer.

My question about why you had not come back was more to find out if our energy usage had helped you in establishing whether you were using too much and if we could help you further
