My only issue with Google checkout is not being able to trace the order once placed.
With Ebuyer, for example, I can log in to my account after I have paid and see the current status of my order.
Using Google checkout, I cannot. You pay, then nothing unitl Hopefully it is delivered in time.

When our customers pay with google we confirm their order via a seperate email and also email then once the item has been posted. I do know that not alot of the bigger companies do this though. One of the few things good about being a small business!

TazBar have integrated it into their end-of-sale CheckOut which makes it very fast to use.

Have just read on the !!!!!!!!!! boards that they are also integrating Google Checkout into their end-of-sale process :T

Regarding NOCHEX, I don't leave my money in there for very long for that reason.

eBay may not allow Google Checkout but a lot of sellers are offering it on their third party checkout systems, nice little loophole:p

    Hi Soo

If you can accept cheques, postal orders etc, why can you not offer Google Checkout? I searched Ebay Help but could not find anywhere that said it was not allowed.

If you use a catch-all phrase such as "other payment options are available" then eBay have nothing to do with it. How you pay/get paid once the auction listing is closed is between you and your buyer/seller.

Quite a few of my buyers of late have intimated they were going to pay by cheque or "Other" - and a padded envelope turns up with cash inside!

Thanks Soo, I didn't know that. Haven't offered it, but seems a shame that it is not allowed.

Thanks from me too, I've just signed up with Google Checkout and would have offered it as a payment option if I hadn't seen this :o
