CCJ at old address, what are chances of overturning it?

I have recently applied for a credit card and been declined which has never happened before. I have checked my credit score and there is a CCJ on my file from Civil Enforcement Ltd on 1/9/14 at my old address that i moved out of in july 2012. I can't find out what this is and if i was even liable. I have tried to call Civil Enforcement to understand what it is but it is just an automated payment line. Has anyone had any luck in contacting Civil Enforcement Ltd or had any experience of overturning a ccj on the grounds of not being informed it was even happening? Any help would be much appreciated as the national debt helpline said i need to contact the company to find out what it is but that is proving impossible!

Civil Enforcement Ltd is, I believe, a private parking company of the likes that give you fake "fines" if you overstay at a supermarket car park.
Try re-posting your query in the parking sub forum as the people there know a lot about this dodgy company...

Contact the court that issued the CCJ and ask for a copy of the judgement.
Whether you have a chance of getting the judgement set aside will depend on various factors. Key factors are likely to be whether the money is actually owed and whether you had informed the creditor of your new address.
Once you have found out what the debt relates to then this factsheet may help you decide if it is worth making a set aside claim - https://www.nationaldebtline.org/EW/factsheets/Pages/12%20EW%20County%20court%20-%20how%20to%20set%20aside%20a%20judgment/Page-05.aspxA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
If you don't have details (i.e. which court/reference) of the judgement then you can search for them here: http://www.trustonline.org.uk/.
Cost is £4 to check any/all held against your name.0
