From this report looks like everything will be ok and they are to continue trading.

I would take that with a pinch of salt, it says
“We would like to reassure all of our customers that they will continue to receive support from the same Evesham staff and that their existing warranties will continue to be handled with Evesham’s award winning service, as before”"
Yet it is reported in other places that existing staff were asked to leave the building !!
No point in taking the risk.;)0 -

I have a 37" EVE37DT LCD TV that was bought in April 2006 with a 3 year on-site swap out warranty. The TV screen went phut and now will not come out of standby.
Evesham customer support line (0870 160 9534) still takes calls and puts you hold but I do not think anyone is there.
No response to emails yet either - support@evesham.com or support@lowestonweb.com
I may have to seek redress through the credit card company.
I bought this through www.lowestonweb.co.uk which was the internet only side of evesham. I will update for the record as others will come a cropper with the amount of 3 year warranties out there. If it takes a man a week to walk to walk a fortnight how long does it take a fly with tackity boots on to walk through a barrel of treacle?0 -
Evesham in trouble has been reported before certainly over the past 2 weeks, in fact a few threads on this forum mentioned it too.
If you ordered on credit-card you'll be fine, debit card, very unlikely to be good for you, as previously mentioned.
I had a similar experience to Slinky, with Evesham, although did used to purchase quite a few PCs from them. But couldn't get a fault on one resolved, several on-site visits, even downgrading the processor (but no refund to me), but it still froze constantly, and they wouldn't replace, it was an essential system, so I ended up selling the parts off cheaply, and vowing never to use them again. Pity really, because then I needed to order 50ks worth of PCs for a client, and they lost the business. I'm not one to tolerate bad service, one bitten ;o)
It is so cut throat nowadays, I'm actually surprised they've lasted so long with the likes of Dell selling systems so low, many of the good brands folded years ago, like the excellent Dan Technology - they really were top notch.
If they've sold the remainder to Time, that'd be a real shame, Time are a truly awful company IMO.0 -
We to bought an LCD TV from Loweston web in Dec 06. Had a call from some company tonight saying that Evesham wiil cease trading in Feb and that they were taking over the warranty.. If I wanted to keep my warranty I would have to pay £9.99 per month for the privaledge.0

Further update rec'd today although it relates to last August.
Evesham Technology Ltd. went into pre-pack administration on Friday 3/08/07, where they were bought out of administration by a company called PCC technology. We are now able to continue trading as Evesham Technology (Evesham Micros t/as Evesham Technology) via a license provided by PCC technology.
We have streamlined operations to focus on direct and web sales and no longer have any retail stores apart from one at our head office in Evesham. This legal restructuring has been implemented in order to secure the future of Evesham Technology. The acquiring company have guaranteed that all existing warranties will be supported, and we continue to offer the same award winning service and support that made the Evesham brand so popular.
Please do not hesitate to contact us via email if we can be of any further assistance.
Regards, Internet Sales | Evesham Technology
