At least they're being honest about it - not been taking cheques or debit cards for some time now & paying employees early. Pity because they produced very good systems & had excellent back-up.0

Oh noooooo
We've bought several PCs over the years from them and have always had great service if we've needed to call them out for any problem.
What will happen to my 3rd year on-site cover?0 -
I'm on my second Evesham PC now. I've had a few reliability problems but their support has been great. I really hope they do not go down the way Time and Tiny have. Evesham prides itself on great customer service and doesn't need to fight it on price at the expense of service to beat competitors.

I am posting on an Evesham pc purchased in 2001. They gave me 3 year on site warranty and for life freephone telephone support. It will be a sad day to lose such an established company.
:T GOOD LUCK EVESHAM.COM :T"Did you hear about the frog that broke down on the motorway???? They toad him away!"0 -
My experience of this company was dire. In 18 months I had 3 failed hard drives, when they took the laptop back into repair after number 2, somebody dropped it, when it failed the third time they refused to acknowledge there was any problem. I was also without the machine for 3 months of the 18 it was working. Unfortunately I bought it through my company and had less protection than buying as an individual. Try as I might I couldn't get my money back. Had to put it down to a shockingly bad experience.
TBH if they're going down I wish they'd done it 2.5 years ago before I bought their heap of junk.Make £2025 in 2025

Hope they don't go down the pan as I have found their service better than most in the mass computer marketplace including their tech helpline. When my home PC died after an electrical storm last year they had it up and running again within a week.
Wouldn't it be great if other businesses stopped taking cash, cheques and debit cards if they thought they might not deliver the products. (Farepak for example).
Well done Evesham and good luck0 -
The latest news is they have secretly sold their stock to Time and today have gone into administration. With no stock the staff made redundant will get less as there are less assets to go around.
The guy at the top says warranties will still be honoured although I can't see how when the company has basically gone.0 -
It will be sad day to lose a decent company like Evesham, my first PC was a Evesham and I got a good 4 years out of it without a problem.0
-
Oh no - we ordered computer from them last week on finance - the finance has gone through but we haven't heard from Evesham at all.0
-
If you ordered on finance or paid using a credit card then your money should be safe. If you don't get the goods you won't have to pay as the finance company are jointly liable under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act.
If you pay by cash or debit card that's a different matter.0
