Mucky old day here as well. I need to go to the bank to pay some bills, so I am hoping that it will stop raining then I will scoot down and back, if not, suds it the bills can wait.
Is anyone getting a text box appear everytime they hit the Thanks button?
It is really annoying!
Started the 5.2 diet today with a fast day and am keeping a close eye on my blood sugar to make sure that it isn't going to cause major hypos, if I get through today then I will carry on with it. So far so goodI need to lose a lot of weight for a spinal operation, so I hope that this works.
Other than that not much going on here so I think that I will take the opportunity to do some mending.

Mrs LW I share your pain about having building work done in your house. I remember having my kitchen replastered... I vowed never again. My living room needs replastering too but when we decorated I couldn't face it, I just told hubby to paper over the cracks and hold the loose plaster up.:o
Back from the dentist, news not good whichever way you look at it. The tooth is badly fractured and ive got to see another dental surgeon to see if it can be saved.
"You are a strange woman" said my dentist. "Most people are more concerned about having a tooth out but not you, your more concerned about it altering the shape of your face"..... I have to say, my dentist knows me pretty well. :rotfl:

Good morning everyone :hello:
Another wet and windy day here, it's starting to really affect my SAD even though I have a special light. Going to power through today though and clean clean clean. My kitchen needs scrubbing so I'm going to start with that. I've ordered a load of cleaning supplies from Tesco which should be coming in the next hour or so then I'm going to roll up my sleeves and crack on. I also have some of the never ending washing to do and the dishwasher to empty.
Tea tonight is going to be a tuna and courgette concoction in a cheese sauce with some rice. Hubby refuses to eat tuna so I have a couple of steak bakes for him. I may bake a cake as well, will have to look through some recipes.
DD13 is staying home today as she has a temperature and sore throat but I will put her to use if she's up to flicking a duster around.
It hasn't stopped her arguing with her sisters anyway!
Right, I'm off to sort out the cupboard under the sink. Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx
I don't think anything will stop children fighting. And I thought it would stop as they get older, hurumph!
Mine are only 6 and 4 and they were fighting over Lego this morning. They have once fought over the cardboard bit that sits underneath a multipack of dog food though, so I don't hold out much hope that it will stop in time!Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Thank you so much for being kind, I sit here listening to the sound of gently falling tiles and shovelling........
The builders have gone home and I have a bald bathroom!!!0 -
Good evening everyone.
Hope you have all had a good day. Hugs to those who are ill, or just need one. :grouphug:
Well I didn't sleep well last night, was too hot, opened the window, but closed it again as it was too noisy. Also felt uncomfortable after eating our dinner, so not sure if there is something I am eating that doesn't agree with me, will have to have a think and do some eliminating.
Work today was very busy but we managed it all ok although it was all very last minute which I hate.
DD started her mock exams today, so got to pick her up when I finished work and then DS said he had finished college early so picked him up at the same time - result as didn't have to go out again, so was able to go to the gym and have a good workout.
Dinner tonight was cottage pie with the left over pork from yesterday and there is still 2 portions left for someone to have tomorrow.:)
2 NSDs in a row.
Have a good evening everyoneSPC 11 #4450 -

I remember my very dated 70s retro style bathroom. Primrose yellow it was.... vile thing that belonged in a museum and not in a sane persons house. Middle son flushed the loo one day and the flushing thing broke. Couldn't get a replacement part cause the bog was so old so it meant a new bathroom suite cause there was no way I was going to get a primrose yellow bog for love nor money (and neither did I want a mismatched bathroom suite either). Central heating wasn't on the cards immediately but it was evident the bathroom would need retiling so we had the central heating done at the same time save ripping up the tiles again a few years later to lay the pipes. Floor boards ripped up throughout the house and no bog for 3 days..... Oh bad, bad days. :-( Oh the mess! This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
