I can go to bed
Ooh, I bet you are breathing a sigh of relief now. I will be like that at the end of the month. Hubby's is fine, he gets paid weekly and it has gone in the new account the last 2 weeks no problem, but I get paid at the end of the month and work for county council and we have a stupid intranet system where we have to log in and update all our personal details. So I have updated my bank details, but will not be 100% sure it has worked until I see the salary in there. I may try and ring payroll next week, to confirm that it is sorted ok.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I logged on and checked my Noddle credit file today. 1 missed payment - first ever missed payment on anything - and credit rating went from 3/5 to 1/5
Funnily enough I was delighted to see the drop in rating :rotfl:DFW Nerd No. 1484 LBM 07/01/15 Debt was £95k  Now debt free and happy :j0 -
Well apart from manic bank checking it's been relatively quiet of the DFW front. I seem to be in that limbo mode waiting for something to happen.
I had a text message today from SC saying my DMP is now active, but then I had that message on Tuesday as well - very confusing but at least they are thinking of me regularly
I think I have sent a private message to a DFW colleague - hopefully you know who you are :rotfl: I think I've sent the message more than once but I can't see any messages in the sent folder....perhaps they don't go into the sent folder and you don't ever save them - never done this before so I have no idea how the PM message system on this forum works.
DH is still worrying about creditor phone calls whilst he is at work. I can't help that - he will have to get over it (sorry to sound hard but sometimes it feels like it's me that has to deal with everything all the time:()
I just phoned H@alifax because I haven't let them know about the DMP yet (was waiting to make sure DHs salary went into the new account). I spoke to a nice lady but she couldn't take any SC information and gave me a number of a specialist team I have to phone tomorrow between 8am and 5pm. Okay - will do that
Enthusiam for knitting is waining - DS's birthday is at the end of the month and Feb being a short month that will be here sooner than usual....not sure the sweater will be completed :eek:DFW Nerd No. 1484 LBM 07/01/15 Debt was £95k  Now debt free and happy :j0 -
Hi all
It's still very quiet on the DMP set up front - I am starting to panic nothings happening and I will get calls and letters from creditors. Still on the other hand no news is good news...I suppose
I have - thanks to Ploppy57 - been reading the KonMarie thread and been inspired to declutter my life. So I have taken loads to a local charity shop this morning and have a pile of stuff to list on eBay this week - which should help boost the emergency fund...if it all sells:j
I've also download a trial version of YNAB and so far am loving it. I am struggling to justify the cost of buying the full version - already in moneysaving mode mentally I keep thinking I could do this with spreadsheets on my own - but in all honesty spreadsheets are not the same and YNAB is quite motivating. I have 32 days left of the trial so will plod on and see how much I think I really need it before the trial is up
Hope everyone is keeping well :beer:DFW Nerd No. 1484 LBM 07/01/15 Debt was £95k  Now debt free and happy :j0 -
I know that feeling that you are doing it all alone. My OH is keen to do this, but his contribution seems to be signing paperwork I put in front of him! We had a row about it at the weekend, as I hadn't been well last week and felt a bit overwhelmed with it all and told him he was no help etc and I was trying to do it all for both of us to have a fresh start etc etc and he just said something stupid like...if I felt I couldn't cope why did we start it! Then he said he could deal with it all, so I said fine, you know where all the stuff is filed and what is going on etc......of course he didn't. So tonight when he gets in from work we are having a lesson in understanding my filing system of all the creditors letters that have arrived so far and what is in which bank account and what its for etc and all the logins for bank accounts and SC etc. Think it will be a revelation for him:DThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Let me know how you get on with your DH and the lessons:rotfl:
If I was run over by a bus tomorrow my DH would not have a clue how to access any single account online, how to find the insurance policies, the wills, etc etc etc:eek: This is not because I keep him in the dark but becasue he chooses to keep his head in the sand :cool:DFW Nerd No. 1484 LBM 07/01/15 Debt was £95k  Now debt free and happy :j0 -

Well he didn't pay much attention, just nodded and said ok etc. I gave up before I got as far as the online logins. Was watching Martin Lewis on TV the other week and he said it is a good idea to have a sheet with all the companies/policy numbers/phone numbers etc for Mortgage, Insurance etc, all on one sheet, so that anybody can access it at any time. Have told DH that I am going to do that, 'cause you never know what might happen, especially as I am 12 years older than him:DThis is a system account and does not represent a real person.
