New contract

Only realized my contract was up when my package doubled lol anyway rang talk talk and negotiated another deal. I think it's ok. I know I could get another half price deal from going to sky etc as new customer but can't do with the hassle to be honest
So it's £23 a month for line rental, fibre, unlimited broadband . I've had to drop the free anytime calls and just have eve and wkend for that
They Insist they are sending a u view box which I don't want or need as its free. I asked if I didn't have it would they drop some more money off lol but no
Can I sell the box?

A friend of mine also got landed with an unwanted you view box but included within the package was a note saying that if it wasn't connected up within (I think) a couple of months then they would want it back.

So far he still has it, after about 3 months, but I would wait for a few more replies before going down the selling route in case this fact turns out to be true.

From their website it seems they may ask for it back if it's not connected or they may charge you for it. Hopefully someone will be aware of how actively they actually enforce this term.

6.11 In addition, if you receive a Set Top Box from us at no charge or a reduced charge you must connect and keep it connected to our network at all times during the Minimum Period of your applicable Tariff Plan. If you do not keep such Set Top Box connected to our network we may, after providing you with reasonable written notice and at our discretion, ask you to either return it to us or, as reasonable compensation for your failure to take and use our TV Service in accordance with the terms of your Contract, charge you the cost of the Set Top Box as set out on our Website less any amount you paid at the time you ordered the TV Service.
