  • I recently swapped GU10's in bathroom and got them from I Am LED website as they had 20% off. Seemed pretty good. Also bought some from Aldi a while back but they didn't seem very bright.

Aldi currently have a selection of LED bulbs including both dimmable @ £4.99 and non-dimmable @ £3.99.

The two dimmable B22 13W 1055 Lumen (75W equiv) lamps I bought are performing very well (controlled via standard dimmer switches).

Ebay is fantastic - dirt cheap and good quality - refitted the entire house and have saved a bundle.

Bought some Cob style bulbs that are almost as bright as the sun, and use just 20W.

bought 25 of these from Amazon, after testing a few different brands. they don't look pretty turned off, but they do throw out a really wide angle and are really bright.

so far 100% happy with a 0% fail rate.

Please be very careful when buying electrical items (particularly unbranded, direct from the far east) from eBay. It's quite easy to find stuff on there that any high street retailer would be hauled over the coals by trading standards if they dared to sell.

What I'm saying is don't go by price alone - do your homework and ensure the retailer is legit and what's on offer seems legit.

I cut-out the ebay-middleman and get mine off aliexpress.

Never had any issues, but then I do read all the customer reviews and won't buy from any sellr with less than 40 reviews. Using this method, I was able to avoid one seller as the reviews revealed the true (lack of) quality of their products.
