Hello,
You don't say which fitting, but I've recently replaced 20 odd GU10 with LED. After trying various from different places the best I found were IKEA 4W Ledare. They're as bright as the 35W they replaced but slightly more focused and not dimmable.
It's a bit of a minefield though. Good Luck0 -
I have bought from wel-lit.co.uk in the past. Good customer service and knowledgeable people. Not the cheapest but you get good quality and a fantastic guarantee. My gu10s have been in place for over a year now and are going great.
I only wish their range was a little bit more expansive but then again, some of the other seller's have such a vast range that it makes me suspicious.
My advice is, whoever you choose, look out for a really cast iron refund policy. You do need to try these bulbs out before committing yourself.0 -
Check out Wickes. Their higher powered Philips were on offer.0

As others have said, you have to be very careful about quality, always check reviews and read all the small print if buying online.
I've recently bought some G9 bulbs from AliExpress.com, which is sort-of a Chinese Amazon Marketplace if you haven't come across it before. 10 bulbs for £1 each delivered, took two weeks to arrive. Much cheaper than Amazon and for that price I was willing to gamble on the quality.0 -
I've been v happy with led hut. They have all sorts of discount codes.
Also been v impressed with simplyled.co.uk. Quality products and good service. Have had their stuff running for 2y now.0 -
gu10 3.5w giving 50w of light from amazon recently 5 delivered free for £14.99,they offer a 90% saving on the power cost and should last 50,000 hours, and they give a much more natural light0

I had some from ikea that were poor quality and flicker sometimes.
Have bought a few from LED Hut and been impressed. Make sure you google for a discount code though or you will pay too much. 25-30% is usually available.0 -
I really rate the "meridian" led bulbs they sell at toolstation. Just bought a job lot of candle bulb ones for our horrible inherited light fittings and they're a lovely colour. I bought one of the 12w regular bulb replacements which was marked as being equivalent to a 75w incandescent, but it's actually brighter than the 100w incandescent it replaced...0

I have bought dozens of LED bulbs from both of the companies.
Been pleased with the service & quality of the bulbs.
Both companies have replaced several bulbs under warranty so keep a record of your purchase.
P.S
The bulbs have a dated stamped on them so you know how long you have had them !!
