Which means you're debating stuff that may be out of date. Bridge tolls were scrapped YEARS ago. So yes it was a policy 'at some point'....Will it be in their next manifesto as Gen has titled the thread ?...No. Manifesto No 1 SNP.. Not 'policy at some point' was the basis for the thread.
Oh for f........
Look, it's a game. If you don't want to play, then don't play.
But if you like, I can always go and Google the answer for you.:)0 -

Please do, and while you're at it, do a bit on Jim Murphy's Scottish Labour manifesto as well. Might open your eyes a wee bit to what's actually going on..
'Nationalism' anyone ?He will present a redrafted version of Scottish Labour's constitution to the party's Scottish executive today, emphasising his desire to "put Scotland first" without "giving up solidarity with people across the UK"....He added: “When I spoke just after being elected leader I said that Scottish Labour needed to change to be stronger for Scotland.
“Under my leadership no-one will be left in any doubt that we call the shots in Scotland, that we stand up for Scotland and we put Scotland first...
..Mr Murphy said:“Well, I’m never going to apologise for using taxes raised across the UK to fund the Scottish NHS. I will always make policy in Scotland that is for the good of the country."
Renamed 'oil fund' anyone ?Jim Murphy has demanded a multi-million pound “resilience fund” is set up to protect Scotland’s crisis hit North Sea oil industry. The Scottish Labour leader wants extra cash due to Scotland from George Osborne’s autumn statement...
If you're going to be 'doing manifesto's' then it pays to try and keep up to date with them. And by the looks of it, Scottish Labour is trying to outdo any SNP one in terms of looking after purely Scottish interests. All guff of course ( any money he's 'demanding' is from Barnett money anyway and the nurses 'row' was obviously manufactured ). All pretence at 'pooling and sharing', 'one nation' and 'better under Westminster' completely abandoned.
Which ever way you cut it, SNP and the Labour Party in Scotland are vying for the same voters. And if Scottish Labour recently are anything to go by, then the manifesto's will BOTH be very 'anti-Westminster/pro-Scotland' in flavour of polices. Labour are desperate to win back their Labour heartlands. And it seems they have pinned all hopes... on actually becoming a version of the SNP ! Emphasising a marked 'distance' from Westminster and from UK Labour itself.
Any Scottish voters won over by Murphy's new found 'Scotland first' policies are likely to make very sure he sticks by them..he's not been elected to the Scottish Parliament yet ( ! ) or take their votes en masse for the final time elsewhere in 2016 in the Scottish elections.
Scottish Labour and UK Labour are on a collision course, sooner or later. The SNP's manifesto for 2015 elections hasn't been announced yet. It's far more interesting in Scotland at the present time watching Jim Murphy trying to copy Alex Salmond, nick SNP policies and hoping all those Labour voters who voted Yes ( all 190381 of them ) have goldfish memories. But you carry on.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

i really hope Labour are kicked out of Scotland come May, wont be voting SNP either ... but we need rid of Labour from Scotland0

Must disagree with this. What we actually need is all of the lying, cheating, backstabbing, two-faced, self -important politicians removed from office and barred from ever entering government service again. Of course that would mean that there would be few (if any) MP's and MSP's left.0 -
Now i can agree with that one myself... No matter what political spectrum they are from ... I actually do admire Tom Greatrex who is a Labour MP ... goodness know why he is a Labour MP though ... he is far too good for them0

If I must then...
#Reduce income tax :- Reserved ( until Smith Commission proposals put into place, if they ever are. Those that are already in place re tax even Labour when in Scottish government didn't bother with ).
#Scrap Air Passenger Duty :- Reserved ( until Smith Commission proposals put into place, if they ever are ).
#Reduce Corporation tax :- Reserved
#Scrap bridge tolls :- Scrapped about 6 years ago.
#Spend more money :- Reserved ( Barnett formula fixed amount set in advance re spending ).
#Save money in a Sovereign Wealth Fund :- Reserved
#Make the UK unicameral (i.e. only have 1 house in Parliament so any Government can push through any law on a single majority) :- Reserved
#Change the constitutions of Australia, New Zealand and Canada :- Reserved
So, which one is the odd one out ? None of them. They can't do any of them unless they either gain far, far more in the way of fiscal autonomy, or, become independent.
How do the above relate to the next election by the way ? You haven't actually said yet. And I assumed when you said SNP 'manifesto' you were talking about May 2015 and not what the SNP would do with Devo-max or independence. Especially since there was a No vote only 4 months ago.
If you were to push, I'd say Home Rule/Further powers/anti-austerity polices/Trident renewal and scrapping the Bedroom Tax/Sanctions regime would be the main talking points. But I certainly wouldn't be wasting my time discussing already scrapped bridge tolls or vague stuff like 'spend more money'.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Almost.
In the SNP's last published manifesto I can find, for the Euro Elections, a proposed change in the law was to the Act of Settlement. That is a part of Aus and Canada constitutions but not NZ's. Incidentally it is illegal under UK law to change the Act of Settlement without the agreement of Canada and Australia.
I'll put another one up tomorrow. Funny that Greens and SNP supporters don't support their own parties' policies or at least argue against people (ok me, not people) writing them down.0
