They obviously haven't signed up to 17 day switching then. My switch to E.oN was acknowledged on Tuesday and goes through on the 6th February providing the losing supplier plays ball. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. As far as I can tell, Coop did not contact Scottish Power until 6 Feb., well within the 49 days.
I have just entered my opening readings so now await my final bill from Scottish Power.0 -
They seem to have taken a bit longer than the 14-day cooling-off period before contacting SP but looks to be nearly 8 weeks to completion. Probably about par for the course with the Co-op recently. As far as I can tell, Coop did not contact Scottish Power until 6 Feb., well within the 49 days.

They counted the 14 days (ish) from the 22 Jan when I received my welcome pack rather than 11 Jan when I started the switch.0 -
Switch nearly finished, touch wood.
5 march random credit of 13p appeared in Scottish Power account
5 march random direct debit of £37.63 taken instead of £87 as usual, I assume this is the gas percentage of the dual fuel DD
5 march final gas bill created stating £60ish left to pay.
11 march final electricity bill created so I paid the full balance left at scottish power.
Co-op have been updating their online system for a few weeks so only just got back online with them yesterday after having to re-register and get a new account number, really quite complicated and buggy! Patience prevailed.
They seem to have my gas account but no sign of the electricity yet.0 -
If you owed SP £60 for gas then it is more likely that the transfer of the gas supply has been delayed pending settlement whilst the electricity supply has gone ahead.. . . 5 march final gas bill created stating £60ish left to pay. . . 11 march final electricity bill created so I paid the full balance left at scottish power..
It's a little unfortunate that your change of supplier has been caught up in Co-op's new account portal.
Hope all goes well in the end but it may stretch your patience in the short term.

I owed a similar amount on both accounts but partly because they decided to take a lower dd amount randomly.
Thankfully I am rather computer savvy so the coop portal was not a huge problem but I imagine it will be a massive problem for many!
Hopefully this thread has given some people an idea of the full transfer process.0 -
And today I have received my very first piece of correspondence from Scottish Power regarding the switch! A letter telling me to consider staying, dated 16th March and received nearly a month after the switch completed.
Co-op have taken the first DD but it is not showing on my account, the reference number for the DD on my bank statement is my 'old' account number and my online coop account is my 'new' account number but I am not chasing them yet because heir system transfer is obviously causing all sorts of problems, e.g. I have tried to change my password but the only value it will allow in the 'new password' boxes is my 'old' password!
