    I've just read this:

"You will almost certainly get a couple of threat-o-grams from CCS Collect over the next couple of months. CCS Collect are a trading name of G24. It's all part of the same scam."

    Is that true?

G24 dont do court, so although you will have to weather the begging letter storm for 6 years you can ignore them and CCS or DRP or any other debt collector

only come back to this thread if you get an LBC or an MCOL from G24 or the landowner

in the meantime, IGNORE the debt collectors

Okay thank you :) I'll wait it out

its probably true, but doesnt matter which name the debt collector or PPC is using

they can only try to enforce this in court, so IGNORE until then , if ever

after 6 years, it cannot be chased any further

Yes and no. CCS collect are not a trading name of G24, they are a debt collector but I have absolutely NO IDEA why on earth you reckon this could possibly affect your credit rating! Read this to understand the role of a debt collector re fake/private parking tickets like this (merely a letter chain sender):

Get a grip (sorry but this is covered everywhere here and in post #4 of the NEWBIES thread all about 'ignore the debt collector' stage). We have ignored this silly letter chain for bbloody YEARS, you could find threads just by searching Goole for 'CCS Collect doorstep G24' and laugh at all the threads over the years from us and pepipoo, sniggering at the idea of someone collecting their doorstep! I just did that Google search to test it and you get pepipoo forum threads since as far back as 2007 laughing at this letter chain. Come on...wise up and forget the idea this scam can affect your credit rating.

Only take seriously real court papers, unheard of from G24 but for that reason, keep the entire letter chain safe for up to 6 years and if you move, tell CCS Collect and G24 your new address when writing a short 'go swivel' letter. Keep a copy of your new address letter and proof of posting to both postcodes (a free receipt from the PO counter, NOT recorded delivery). Just to make sure that G24 don't then try a small claim in 3 or 4 years time knowing you've moved but using your old address, just to scam you with an unexpected CCJ which can only arise after losing a court claim. G24 don't do court but 'never say never' so, just laugh at and KEEP the letters.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just had a Notice of Legal Action letter this morning with a fancy yellow banner at the top from CCS - unless of course I pay them £100. I take it I just keep ignoring and it's highly unlikely they'll take me to court?
