The fees are £1 so not massive.

So I can't relist and then open an unpaid case? I think this the route I like.

Yes you can do that, but you need to understand the risks of losing your FVFs and ending up with poor feedback if original buyer then pays

Do you have it it writing that they have another item so are not going to pay? Or is this your assumption?

If you have it in writing, and they refuse a cancellation, then you could try contacting ebay if they refuse the cancellation to get fees back.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Remember that the Final Value Fee takes 10% off your postage price also, not just 10% on the item sale if you do have to cancel the second one which has a sale on it, if that's what happens.

I have it in writing that I took too long to accept the offer so they purchased another.

It doesn't say they aren't going to pay. But its interfered.

 I've just won a mouse for £20 and the seller is now cancelling.
He says its faulty but I suspect he wanted more money!

So how come the seller of the mouse can cancel my win without my permission ?

Can I do this to my non payer?

Yes, but there's a risk that they will reject your cancellation request, which would mean you wouldn't get your fees back and the buyer can still leave feedback.

Likewise with your mouse situation, you could reject their request, causing that seller to have to pay FVFs, and you could leave feedback to reflect your experience.

I don't seam to have a choice about the mouse which is rare.

All eBay wants me to tell them is when I have received a refund.

Maybe as it's faulty there is no way the sale can continue.

This is the ebay email I got

I've not accepted any cancellation (however I hadn't paid for it yet)

And when I click on the blue, it goes to ebay and I get this:

I notice when I go to cancel an order I have 2 options

    1) I have run out of stock or can't for-fill the order for some reason

    2) The buyer asked me to cancel

Does anyone know the consequences of selecting either of those with regards to fee's ? etc

I guess my mouse seller selected option 1 and therefore I did not need to confirm it.
