£5 cashback requested from the TCB Xmas treats giveaway. I’m within £1 of reaching payout on 1poll which will be a nice way to finish off the year! Assuming it’ll get quieter next week on surveys etc.
Still waiting for rubbish energy supplier to either accept or reject the Ombudsman decision but they have 28 days.. typical of them really!
Quiet day today. Plan to finish the food orders for pre Christmas and then hope it all turns up!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Gosh you are diligent about the extra cash you make. I never make the time for this.
You do seem to have fallen foul with your energy suppliers. I think I said before, when mine failed (YE) last December, I managed to notice and log my "that day" reading on their portal before it went down. It took several months to sort but I submitted the same start reading to Scottish Power and they kept me on a very similar tariff for six months. I'm still with them on the follow up tariff they offered that is fixed until August 2023. In the meantime, their system refunded the cushion of cash I had built up ready for the winter (I use four times as much per month from October to April). And having messaged them, they then failed to take the DD that month after fiddling with the settings. I am making additional lump sum payments ready to get my January bill (£300 so far) and have increased the DD to just under £200 a month. Horrendous!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £9586.01 out of £6000 after August (158.45%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £2226.88/£3000 or 74.23% of my annual spend so far
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread

I think the energy companies are just about collapsing. With all the new customers that have been forced on them it must be a nightmare, so I have some (not an awful lot) of sympathy. A couple of days ago I could still access my account with Peoples Energy, which went mid Sept owing me over £300 of course ready for winter. Who knows when I'll see that again. Unfortunately I am now with Britsh Gas which is a smidgen better than scottish power. But I have some long term issues with them. One from 40 & one from 20 years ago, I have a long memory. The old one they used to bill every 3 months but kept moving the bill date forward & then tried to take us to court for only making 11 payments in their shortened year. The newer one was when they fitted a new meter & left me with a leak & thought they would charge me to fix it. These days they would have been taken to court & paid for the privilege. Can you tell I don't trust energy companies?2

Reached payout on 1poll so £25 requested.I’ve also just cancelled our TV licence. We’ve been thinking about this off and on for years but when we put it in the context of would we choose to pay £13+ for what we actually watch on there the answer was a clear no!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Well done you on cancelling the tv licence! I've done that at various times, but I come round to it again because of the chronic fatigue. Now I'm on a new broadband, I might well go to a streaming service instead, sooner or later.
I'm not going to think about my energy company tonight. I can't hear you, la la la2023: the year I get to buy a car2 -
£5.06 cleared in Prolific overnight so £1.06 OP made and gift fund up to £166.50 / £800
Having a battle with Amazon over one gift item we returned. They have helpfully credited the sender which makes it a bit awkward but have promised we will have the credit today. Also an item from a third party seller which hasn’t arrived despite ordering it over a month ago and they still won’t refund me. It isn’t a huge amount but even so….DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Well triple success today.Got the first refund from Amazon into my gift card balance so that’s now sitting at £69.They’ve agreed to the second refund but I can’t recall how I paid for that so either on the way to my bank or into the gift card balance.I also had a day out booked for the kids that I’d tried unsuccessfully to get a refund on. It was £16. So I gave it one last go yesterday and got them to agree to a refund as well. Though I think I’ll believe it when I see it in the bank.Surveys pretty quiet yesterday but should see at least one more payout before Christmas.Sold one item on fleabay. £2 OP made and gift fund up to £172.50 / £800Can’t believe it’s Christmas Day a week today!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)
