Always good to have some time to do the financials and make more plans.

One more chilled day for me, couple of days in work and then off again. Are you forecast any snow? We are but it tends to miss us.

No snow forecast Cath. Just a whole heap of hail. Icy cold today though.

Lovely quiet day. A prolific survey credited so up to £3.50 there and an Ipsos survey.

Need to go to Argus tomorrow to collect an item we bought DD for Christmas. Argus promptly reduced it further the next day so I purchased another to return on my higher priced receipt. Frustrating it was already in the sale and then went down again two days before Christmas. So I don’t feel guilty.

Started the big Christmas clear. All the cards down today. Still had all the birthday cards as well so house already feels lighter. Busy tomorrow so tree lives to see another day.   I do love the feeling of space when the decs all go away.

    December review

    December

    *Money earned 116.89 ~ total 2020 to date £1190.83

    *OPs £30.05 ~ total 2020 to date £3300

    *Mortgage balance - £64,319.45

*Mortgage percentage left to pay 28%

    96 months left

+ money earned as was expecting slim pickings in December

    - money has seemed to fly out this month and it’s felt out of control at times. As a result OPs have been woeful.

I think the progress made in 2020 has been fab - and when you look at that statement that your mtge figure is now less than your debt in 2008 was - well, that's flippin' brilliant - you've got this! :)

Totally agree with greent, your figures are great - December's been a completely weird month in a completely weird year, you're doing fine :) excited to see you get closer to your goal.

  • Great work, DFOD 😀! And at least not setting goals means you definitely achieved them 🤣!

  • Successful trip to Argus and got a refund of the item at the higher price. Annoyingly onto a gift card but I’ll stash it away and it will get used at some point I’m sure.

Cancelled the microwave order as one popped up on freecycle which we were lucky enough to nab. In really good condition so £40 saved!

I’m really enjoying this week, more so maybe than Christmas. All of us are chilled and just taking it easy. De-Christmas Day done and everything packed away for another year. House feels massive and clean again. I love love love it.

Just the news to come tomorrow now. I reckon it’ll be another tier 4 lockdown for January.
