  • I actually forgot it was the last (working) day of the month so was quite excited to login to the bank and sort out the monthly money.

Bit of tidying up and OP of £13.62 made bringing August to £346.66. It has been suuuuch an expensive month, really need a quiet September, though we have a few days away at the end of it, so will need to be super organised with food to avoid spending lots!

Not sure what I'm expecting of September in terms of OPs, still waiting for 1poll and Y0ug0v so that will be £75 at least we can clear. Think I'll aim for £250 as the target and see how we go. Mortgage figure won't update now until Tuesday so I'll be in suspense as to how close we are to getting to £88k something.

Quiet morning at home and then off to a museum later which is £10 to get in, but too good to miss in terms of home ed and the topic we are currently covering. Should be no other spends today.

    Have a good Friday all!

  • Mortgage update for £79,170.30 and I've just sent an OP for £6.14 over bringing September OPs to £98.97. Had another clear out of 'stuff' and sold a bit, just waiting to go the postie later to see exactly what I have left to OP. Still waiting for 1poll and Y0ogov payments to credit so I can OP those. Will aim to get under £79k, but as usual it will be a push this month.

Been out in the garden this morning and cleared the wildflower bed, really was overgrown and in a mess, all the flowers were done for the year so that's a bit of fresh air and exercise for me!

Back to full time home ed is going well, kids seemed ready for some normalness to be honest.

  • 1poll monies in and pennies from various sales over the weekend and a little bit of rounding up means I've OP £165.00 today bringing the mortgage to £78k something.. Really happy with that. September OPs now at £263.97. It may not get much higher than that this month but I'll keep flinging pennies as and when I can.

Quiet planning day at home today and a much needed chill day for the littlies, we are out all weekend doing various bits and pieces.

  • Looking forward to you hitting your next target, and very soon to be mortgage free! Must be such an achievement. :) xx
  • Not sure if I mentioned it on here, but we put some pennies into Premium bonds given the rubbish interest rates around and we won on our first month! Only £25 but I'll take that, so as soon as cheque has cleared I can OP that. Fairly quiet month, just plodding on and keeping spends to a min.

  • Arrived home to another cheque from Premium Bonds today for £100. So nice and will OP it when it's cleared. OP of £50.62 made today bringing September to £314.59. Fairly quiet over here at the mo, just plodding on with surveys and the like. Having a lovely home ed month back into groups and activities and feeling so lucky we get to spend our days like this..
