Bad luck with the car - just what you need! Well done on all the selling and your little payrise! :)

Hope the switch to UC isn't horrific for you. x

Bit more work is probably needed on my car which can't be avoided, but this came out of having another massive bit of work done free on it from the garage we originally bought it from.

Sold a few things on fleabay this month, nearly £100 but that is covering postage, fees and a few extra things I've bought.

So it is £116 per week for carers, so I know my limit of earnings and more research on UC looks like it'll be only tax credits affected and strangely enough the calculator said we would be better off so I'm not tempted to save the 6 weeks worth of tax credits and instigate the move early.

See the wait time for UC might be reduced to 4 weeks. Need to decide if we do ask to move as I could do it in the two months when we don't pay council tax.. just concerned that I have to look for work an although I work 9 hours a week, I can't physically do any more with home ed.

Got £10 ama@zon voucher from surveys and just done enough surveys to reach payout with pr0filic, but need to wait for two to clear first.

Was just saying on another diary that I don't like the fact the kids get bought stuff that they don't need or want because they've been bought in a sale. 5 mins later, postie arrives with an ech0 d0t for them from grandparents. I don't wish to sound ungrateful, but if we wanted one, we would have bought one. I certainly wouldn't buy one for them.

In fact we were talking to the kids this morning about not buying birthday presents or christmas presents again and having experiences and holidays rather than giving gifts.

    Sigh!

DS's electric toothbrush broke last night so bought another one from Am@zon as well as some discs for DH which will last him forever.

We are putting the tree up this weekend which I'm really excited about! Early I know but busy weekends from now to Christmas and I'm mega in Christmas mood this year!

An echo dot seems an odd choice for young kids! We're fairly lucky in that most family are happy to buy what we suggest. There's just one person who buys far too much (so DD doesn't really appreciate any of it) and things that she likes or are in the sale. Weirdly, her extended family are terrible at doing that but she doesn't seem to mind. One year a grandparent bought her 2 year old son a portable DVD player, they've had really expensive V tech watches with cameras for a 3 year old - madness!

I'm a total scrooge this year. Not feeling Christmassy at all but it's a hard time of year for DD. I have to get festive soon as friends are coming on the 3rd and they are used to the whole house covered in tinsel. :rotfl: I did sing along with DD to Mariah Carey this week.

Been a busy few weeks, I got the job I applied for which is great, but will mean I'm extra busy for the next couple of months.

Decided I'm going to try really hard next year to fund birthdays and christmas from surveys and cashback. As i'm practically done for this year now, except some treats for the dog - I'm going to start keeping track now.

    Pr0filic - £5.60
    1poll - £31.50
    Ips0s -
    TCB -
    Youg0v - £26.00
    peecone -

Am also going to try and get on here more now, at least once a week - trying to do it daily is too much really!

Busy weekend ahead with the little people, can't believe it's just over two weeks till the big day!
