Hi Bambi,
Hello! Hope DS is feeling better.. it's horrible when they are poorly isn't it!
I don't have the bill prior to that, if you've read my diary, you'll have read about the nightmare I had with the *power company that won't be mentioned* so when it was all sorted, I ripped up the bills so I don't have any details from that period of the year. MSE keeps sending emails saying you are paying too much, but the few quotes I have done, it's saying I should be paying £125 a month and I'm only paying £100 now and I'm well in credit as I said I'd never get back to where we were before owing money to the power company.
Trouble is, I rather like our current supplier, nice online interface, I can adjust DD up and down dead easy, bills are online (I appreciate most suppliers do this) - but not often I like the service and tools from a power company!
I might just leave it till august, as i'd have to pay £25 to leave our current fix as well and then I'd have a year of data to properly average out the usage..
Thanks for reading and subscribing.. will go and find your diary now!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Woah, it's actually stopped raining out there.
Car insurance was so disappointing, current provider came out the cheapest, £15 more than the renewal quote we had, could get £20 cashback, but not sure if it will track given I'd already done the quote on a comparison site??? anyone done this and got the cashback?
Didn't get round to the job apps, one doesn't close till 31 May so not doing to put pressure on myself to get that done until work has finished next week.
DD seeming much better now the medicine has kicked in, but planning another quiet day at home.. must must work tonight and finish stuff off before tomorrow. 4 days to go, that's all I must keep thinking - 4 days to go!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Had the same result with car insurance...so I rang them to see what they could do to lower it...and got another £8 off - better than nothing! No cashback available on mine though.
Get well soon to DD too.
Enjoy the dry weather!Back on the DFW Wagon:

Hi DFOD,
Oh yes, I forgot about the power company episode! Maybe it's worth making an effort to write down your reading on the first of the month for the next year and in the mean time if you are happy with your supplier stay with them until August and see how you feel then.
Glad DD is on the mend.
Have a nice quiet day.Currently in an IVA due to trying to fund a growing business but enough is enough. Back to uni I go to study and get some stability back!!!0 -
Morning DF0D,
Hope DD is feeling much better now! Not sure re energy bills as I would just log on but don't think you have access online or any bills.
Roll on the end of the week

I keep getting e-mails as well that are incorrect. I have our minimum savings set to £75 as we have a £60 early cancellation fee, and it'll e-mail claiming my savings are at that level but then you get an updated quote and save only £30-40.
I'd wait until the end of your contract and then re-compare.0 -
I love my current provider so I'm happy to pay a bit more. I could never go back to EDF after the stress they caused me, even if they were saving me £100.
I hope DD is feeling better. An OOH doctor was incredibly rude and patronising to me once and refused to give me the antibiotics I needed. Just what you need when you're ill!
I think I always assume now that if I do a comparison I'll save loads of money - but it doesn't always work like that!Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%

it is so good to hear you do this, I don't feel so bad now staying with them.
Now in my simple DFOD mind, why can't each supplier just offer one tariff, then it would be bloomin simple to compare them!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)
