My boss ran a 540i and was getting 27mpg then swapped to a 535d and was getting LESS!
If someone wanted to test drive a 520i we would always drive it out of the garage and up the road quite briskly to make it look like they shift.
Then we'd swap over and let the customer drive.
Looking at your avatar it seems that you are a Ford fan? What are your thoughts on the e39 BMW? You a fan of them?0 -
Yes I am a Ford fan (and man), but the E39 is a brilliant car.
Probably one of the best built cars out there. 2001 facelift is one to have.
E60 was and still is awful.0 -

I agree the e60 isn't as good as the e39 in both looks and build quality.
What are your thoughts on the e90 330i M Sport with the updated 272PS engine?0 -

not a fan of the E90. The e34 was much better. And again, better built.0 -

But what about the N53 272PS engine? The very last naturally aspirated in-line 6 BMW.0 -
The 330i was a nice enough lump.0

Well, went and picked up the 520i this morning and with the car home, there are a few issues that I'm going to have spend money on, but all in all, very pleased with it.
Issues to mention: Condensation in headlights, condensation on rear windscreen, and the inside of the sunroof is damp.0 -

Condensation in headlamps have plagued BMW since since as far back as I remember. All models are affected by it an I don't know why but BMW just haven't addressed this problem0
