basically as the questions says really.

my contract is up and talk talks sim only deals are great and way better than what im on with them now.

but i would definitely need the same number!

any thoughts

You can't port to the same network, you would have to port away and then back again. There are a number of previous threads detailing this on the forum.

You don't need to port, just ring and ask them to transfer you to a sim only contract once your inclusive deal has finished. Having just done precisely that can guarantee no hassle, just make sure they give you 1/2 price deal as promised on website, they forgot in my case but a polite phone call had it sorted within 5 mins. Now get 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 2 Gb data for £3.75.
