can you use that when doing a fresh os install to find out what drivers you need to install
If you don't have the relevant info or disc's?

Nothing really has been explained as to why the laptop runs so slow. Even with the bloatware that has been mentioned, all this was on the machine when it was new and it was rapid.
Something must have made it go slow, I had noticed a massive decline in the last twelve months of use.

So now the machine has been turned back to it's original state, all problems seem to point to the hard drive.
So you have not installed anything since it was turned back to it's original state, so what makes you think it is slow, slow is subjective but you haven't said what appears to be slow? BTW how long did it take to download and install the windows updates for the last 3 years?

Everything that Device manager would tell me
But it is just a general question as it is probably another handy program to have at my disposal

Usually the brand name and model number or Motherboard description is what is needed.

Speccy is just a monitoring program. It will tell you what components are installed in your machine and how they are running, available memory, temperatures etc.

The OP appears to want to move/copy his Operating System from old laptop to new. This isn't the way to do it. If the new machine doesn't have an OS pre-installed, he needs to load the OS from an install disc or similar.
