can you use that when doing a fresh os install to find out what drivers you need to install

So you have not installed anything since it was turned back to it's original state, so what makes you think it is slow, slow is subjective but you haven't said what appears to be slow? Speccy is just a monitoring program. It will tell you what components are installed in your machine and how they are running, available memory, temperatures etc.0 -
The OP appears to want to move/copy his Operating System from old laptop to new. This isn't the way to do it. If the new machine doesn't have an OS pre-installed, he needs to load the OS from an install disc or similar.0
