Logically, and taking all tribalism, and politics out of it. Should reports start surfacing of how well Scotland could/would do outside of the Union... Then there would be no logical reason for Scotland to stay in the Union. It really is that simple.
We've report after report after report detailing how badly Scotland would 'fare' as an independent Scotland, following UK policies for the next 20 years. With all the very worst bits cherry picked and spun into headline, after headline after headline.
Some of them may be true. Many are simply speculation and long range predictions based on estimates. An independent Scotland wouldn't be following UK policies. And most economists argue over what's happening next week, and consistently fail to 'predict' global crashes and recessions until they happen.
I have absolutely no idea what you are twittering on about now.
But still you feel the need to quote and reply anyway. Have the courage of your convictions string and simply put me on ignore if you no longer wish to see or reply to posts of mine. I really won't mind at all. But you won't. You enjoy the banter too much as well as shoe horning in 'Natland' every 2 sentences.
There's an EU wargames session going on on Twitter and online. Doing a hypothetical Brexit with various European politicians. It's been very interesting. I think Malcom Rifkind and Norman Lamont ( ?) are pitching for the Brits.
I trust the netherlands will be sending that £3,000 per scottish family 'food parcel', to replace that from the ever generous english0 -

It's okay. Thanks to the totes amazeballs SNP the Scottish economy is going to grow at 0.5% a year faster than England's once independent. That will cover off the subsidy from London in just 45 short years.
I'm sure people can wait 45 years for their cancer treatment in order to be free from the English oppressors.0 -
Would love an answer to how the snp will create diversity in the Scottish economy and why no entrepreneurs are doing it alreadyLeft is never right but I always am.0

I thought the Netherlands comments were funny. Some other Twitter followers were apoplectic though. Which I also found funny. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Monday 18 Jan 2016Start-ups continue to invest in Scotland.
The number of businesses launching in Edinburgh and Glasgow increased by 13% in 2015 as almost 12,000 businesses were launched throughout the year.
New research by StartUp Britain, using information from Companies House, shows the two cities occupied the fifth and sixth spots in the UK wide table for the number of start-ups during the year.
The figures have been significantly boosted by a rise in universities, banks and governing bodies choosing to invest in the nation’s wealth of entrepreneurial talent...
“The LAUNCH.ed program has helped to stimulate and nurture an entrepreneurial environment at the University of Edinburgh working alongside other key organisations such as Scottish Enterprise".
...“The funding on offer in Scotland for an early stage start-up is excellent and all of the funding comes with training and support. As the business progresses this initial support has been key to the success of the business"..
Scottish Enterprise is Government funded.Scottish Enterprise is a sponsored non-departmental public body of the Scottish Government which encourages economic development, enterprise, innovation and investment in business. The body covers the eastern, central and southern parts of Scotland whilst a similar body, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, operates in north-western Scotland. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Oooh lets raise that blood pressure and scope for further apocalyptic scenario's up another few notches shall we ?SNP 'will not back Scotland Bill without agreement on budget'
The Scottish Government could reject more powers for Scotland in little more than two weeks unless an agreement is reached on the amount of money it will receive from Westminster, John Swinney has warned.
The Deputy First Minister said negotiations are reaching "the end of the road" and has set a February 12 deadline.
He confirmed the SNP administration will not back the Scotland Bill until it finds the associated cut to Scotland's block grant acceptable...
At the committee meeting in Perth, convener Pete Wishart (SNP) asked "how serious" the Scottish Government's threat to veto the Scotland Bill is.
He said: "Would that therefore mean that the Scotland Bill, as it is currently being progressed through the House of Commons, would effectively fall?"
Mr Swinney said: "We would not put the question of legislative consent to the Scottish Parliament without being able, at the same time, to recommend an acceptable fiscal framework for implementation alongside the Scotland Bill provisions.
"So the answer to your question, convener, is yes".
The mock EU discussions were relevant on the other thread as a pointer of what is to come. Many people throughout Europe were following and found the session extremely interesting along with many of the points raised. They're not meant to be taken 100% seriously though.. which is why I found the Netherlands comments funny.
But the 'block grant' is mentioned in the article above, and time is running out for the Scotland Bill ( for which the SNP have a veto ). Maybe go and have a few deep breaths before posting after reading it though eh ?
Honestly though Clapton ( and string and a few others I suppose). Try not to take these forums so personally. It's a debate. People are supposed to post opposing points of views and matters that others may find interesting in threads. Lighten up. :AIt all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

I would imagine Glasgow and Edinburgh to be around the fifth and sixth largest cities in the UK.
Well done SNP. :jIf I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.0 -

Scottish Enterprise is Government funded.
This is where any Westminster money should go. There isn't any point in pumping money into loss making oil rigs in the North Sea. Let the economic ones roll out because you can't just switch them off.
You yourself Shakey has said Scotland's independent future is not dependent on oil.
Scotland will diversify the economy and UK will save by reducing the subsidy.0
