I don't succumb to a minority and I suggest you don't either.
If minority extreme groups get their way by getting others to step down / get out of the way then they succeed.
It's a bit like the ISIS debate about whether it's a good thing to broadcast their message and efforts or not(the only bad news is no news)
There are minority extremists on all sides and should never be seen as the prominent voice. (not that I am likening any political party extremists to ISIS, but you get my point):wall:

I condemn anyone who uses violence to make a point.
I've said that before.
Does that make me stand out as different?
Remember though, Labour and the media were citing violent acts on the streets of Glasgow for the Murphy / Izzard rally, which clearly was not the case upon review.:wall:

It's the 4th Monkey
see no evil --- hear no evil --- speak no evil
admit no evil
I don't think I've ever heard an SNP person (*) admit anything.
(*) Maybe that lets you off the hook ISTL
Oh get a grip and see what Nicola Sturgeon has to put up with on a daily basis. There's only one of side of this sort of stuff every reported. And it's soley to attempt to paint the SNP in a bad light.
Little wonder that half the Scottish electorate don't believe a word they read in the newspapers anymore. I can't even post this as an image as the language is so bad. Why are there never any headlines about the below ? Charles Kennedy was widely respected in Scotland. By everyone. He was seen as one of the 'good guys'. I don't think anyone bore him much in the way of any malice.

But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -
Naturally I had also googled and I came up with the Mail article. It's not a paper which I would trust without corroboration, which is why I asked the question.
But IF it was true then the people what done it are, I suggest are rather likely to be SNP supporters it not so likely to be SNP MPs.
On the broader issue, the SNP have thrown enough insults both North and South of the border to be well worthy of all the stuff they get thrown at them.
So broadly what you are saying is it's ok to throw insults at SNP, no one else though or you'll be worthy of condemnation. Yep, that makes sense.......
Charles Kennedy was liked and respected throughout Scotland. I'd imagine being a politician all his adult life he was thick skinned enough to dismiss idiots who do nothing but show their stupidity & ignorance with such abuse. I don't condone what was written by these people nor do the vast majority of scots, SNP supporters or not.
Why can't you see the double standards you apply so obviously here?0 -

No I wrote that the SNP had spent so much time insulting other people that they deserve what they get in return.
Maybe if you tried reading what I write instead of guessing, you might avoid your own double standards.Union, not Disunion

I have sympathy for Sturgeon continually having to excuse the behaviour of her extremists.

Which cause do you think Cibernats support? The West Shetland Diving Club?

There is nasty abuse that gets thrown on all sides. Only one side of the story is ever reported on in 99% of all media.
There is also no such thing as a 'cybernat'. Unless you want to 'tar' anyone with an internet account that supports the SNP as one ? Otherwise anyone displaying pro-SNP tendencies hurling abuse, is as much of a nutter as pro-Labour, or pro-Tory people doing so are. There's no difference.
You're getting a distorted picture from the media. Which is why many in Scotland have simply given up on reading/watching most of anything much (politically based). Much less hassle for the blood pressure. And it's all boringly predictable anyway. Most gave up halfway through the ref campaign.
Nicola Sturgeon is not responsible for every Twitter account in the UK and beyond. Nor policing it.Now is the moment for all sections of the Scottish media and the political class to abandon crude stereotypes. The partisan attack journalism that has infected coverage of Scottish politics in the last three years. This has led to a breach of trust between voters and the fourth estate.
Half of Scotland has simply stopped believing anything they read in the papers, even when it is true. This is not healthy. The media and SNP voters need to mend fences. The press must return to the job it is there to do: which is to hold government to account not issue propaganda. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -
I'm still confused why these scots still buy these vile newspapers0

So, I was correct in my initial post. They deserve to be insulted. No one else does.
What and who might they have insulted except possibly the Tories?0 -
